Today we’d like to introduce you to Austin Mitchell
Hi Austin, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
How I got started is God put it on my heart to start my own podcast but also to help other people record their podcast. To create podcast and produce content that makes a positive impact in our society and in the world. That was the beginning of me launching this podcast recording studio. I love to watch podcast, and I believe it is a great media outlet to do so. That was the birth of Purposefull Productions. Many people want to start a podcast, but don’t have the location, resources, or equipment to do so. I wanted to fill that need in my community to make it easy for people to launch and record their podcast. Helping live a life full of purpose is goal of mine to do every single day.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has not always been smooth. Starting a business always has its ups and downs. You wrestle internally am I doing the right thing is this the right plan? Podcasting is a fairly still new industries so it can be a challenge, allowing people to know it is not as hard ask you think to start a podcast. You sometimes doubt your ability, but for me God has been my anchor. Through His love, and grace any problem that has occurred has always gotten solved.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Purposefull Productions is a podcast recording studio in Plano, Texas. Where we help people launch or record their podcast. We specialize and are known for making it easy to launch a podcast. We have the needed equipment for our clients. Cameras, microphones, studio sets, and audio engineer in the room to run the equipment. What sets us apart is the many different sets we have in our studio, and how smooth we make the recording process. What I am most proud of is how we are able to serve our community, and how are part of others journeys to live a life of purpose. We are also proud of helping others show their love for Jesus in their podcast.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
The advice I would give is pray and make a plan. Expect to make mistakes at the beginning. Take affordable next steps. Believe in yourself, have faith. always put God first in the way you run your business and the way you treat people. Allow people you trust to help you. Something if I look back I could say I would want of done more of when I first started out is delegating or outsourcing parts of the business other people are better than you at.
