Hidden Gems: Meet Celine Ebert of The Emporio Organization

Today we’d like to introduce you to Celine Ebert

Hi Celine, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Emporio started as an idea—an idea to create a community for young women, like myself, to learn about business, the global world, and gain valuable insights that would benefit them in the professional world. I wanted to create a space for young women to share their stories and experiences with others entering the field of business. I co-founded Emporio as a publication with one of my peers, hoping to create a magazine specifically for young women in business.

After the first two years of our publication, we received extremely positive feedback from the local community. From there, the publication expanded into an organization with multiple different aspects. We have grown from our yearly publications to bi-weekly financial literacy newsletters, a weekly financial literacy video series, and a monthly podcast. We have been able to work closely with local non-profits like Women Genesis Shelter and Wesley Rankin to distribute our financial literacy and business education to young women and children around the Dallas community.

We have also made an international impact, with our publication and newsletter reaching over 14 countries. We have created over 18,500 media impressions and have gathered an annual readership of over 1,500 individuals. Additionally, we have distributed our financial literacy resources to over 4,200 young women and children.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting Emporio was not a smooth road whatsoever. Everyone can have amazing ideas, but you can’t create impact without working hard to get something off the ground. I remember the summer of 2021 when my friend and I had the idea to create Emporio. We had no idea where to start, who to connect with, or how we were going to do it. But honestly, I think that is the beauty of starting something of your own. You don’t know where the path will take you, but you know that if you work hard and dedicate the time and effort to something you are very passionate about, you will be able to accomplish what you set your mind to.

That summer, we spent many long hours and days trying to establish a dedicated team, a theme for our first publication, and a timeline for the rest of our year. I am so fortunate to have experienced those bumps in the road and pushbacks at such an early age because they taught me to persist no matter what and to stay true to myself and my goals. Even today, we encounter bumps in the road in almost every aspect of our projects, but those challenges make the final product so much more rewarding.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Emporio Organization?
Emporio is an organization dedicated to providing women and children with financial literacy and business education. We are working to close the education gap in this space by publishing different financial literacy resources and business news, that are tailored toward young women interested in gaining more knowledge about the financial world and the world around them. Our team is comprised of college girls and highschool girls predominantly in the DFW area. Our organization is one of its kind as it is run by women for women. We have been able to create such a strong community of empowered women which we are extremely proud of. As the CEO, I am most proud of the dedicated team that we have at Emporio. Each girl is so unique in their skill set and ideas, which creates such a fun working environment for our team. We are always looking to expand our reach and look forward to continuing to grow our team around the country and partner with different non-profits.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is empowering women through education, particularly in financial literacy. Growing up in an all-girls school environment, I saw firsthand the potential of female education to transform lives. However, during the COVID-19 lockdown, I realized there was a significant gap in financial education for women. This gap became evident as I immersed myself in the world of finance and investing, a passion that grew from a small hobby into a profound commitment.

I believe financial literacy is crucial for women to achieve independence and make informed decisions. It’s not just about understanding money; it’s about gaining the confidence and skills to navigate the world and create opportunities for themselves. This realization led to the founding of Emporio, an organization dedicated to bridging this gap and empowering women with the knowledge and resources they need.

What drives me is the dedication and passion of the Emporio team. Each member brings unique skills and perspectives, and together, we create resources that truly impact our audience. From newsletters and video series to podcasts and curriculum development, our efforts are diverse but unified in their goal of empowering women.

In essence, what matters most to me is creating a world where women are empowered, confident, and equipped with the knowledge to take control of their financial futures. This mission is not just about financial education; it’s about fostering a sense of independence and strength that will ripple through generations. By addressing this gap, we can help women everywhere achieve their fullest potential and contribute meaningfully to society.
