Hi Carmen, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Everything changed for me after the pandemic when I realized I wasn’t happy at my job at Chick-fil-A. I’ve always had the dream of starting own business, but I wasn’t sure which path would lead me to success. My mom has been in the cleaning industry since we migrated to the U.S. in 2008, but she never had the chance to develop her own company. That became my biggest motivation—to elevate my cleaning business alongside my husband.
Two years ago, we started from scratch with no clients, and I’m proud to say we now serve 50 wonderful clients! Our goal is to grow into one of the largest professional cleaning companies in the Dallas Metroplex area. Every day, our families inspire us to work hard because we want to succeed not just for ourselves but to support our loved ones and give back to our community in meaningful ways.”
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My leadership journey has been shaped by both challenges and triumphs that have taught me invaluable lessons. One of my significant challenges was finding the right employees, which initially made me doubt my abilities as a leader. When I lost a few clients during that period, it was a tough pill to swallow. However, that experience pushed me to focus on educating myself about positive leadership practices.
Through this journey, I’ve learned resilience and the importance of continuous improvement. Now, almost three years later, we’ve built a strong team, and I’m thrilled to share that we’re on track to have our first two crews operating independently by the end of 2024, fully trained and insured. These experiences not only strengthened my leadership skills but also fueled my passion for guiding my team toward our ambitious goals. I can’t wait to see the impact we’ll make together!”
