Inspiring Conversations with Royal Liedecke of 2Relentless Barbershop

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Royal Liedecke.

Royal Liedecke

Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve been investing in myself since I was 17, living in a lower-income area. I got exposed to 2 books that sparked my mind into self-development, credit, business & fitness. Rich Dad, Poor Dad, and Think and Grow Rich. We’re the 1st two books that started my journey.

At the time, I was nothing near what I am now, not knowing my potential. Since then, I’ve invested in multiple real estate properties, multiple businesses, stocks, and crypto. I also have a job as well and a small family that keeps me busy. My main motivation was to change my circumstances, and now my main motivation is to continue to elevate until I reach my version of what I’m capable of.

I’m a serial failure. I’ve failed at most of what I’ve done, but the only difference is that I keep coming and have bounced back 10x better every time I “lose.” I currently own a barbershop, a few properties, and a few other side ventures. I sold some properties last year that had been draining me for the last 8 years. I became a landlord at 20 years old, and it’s been a lot of my journey in that aspect as well.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been anything but smooth. In fact, I don’t feel right when anything does go my way, since I’m so used to everything being difficult for me.

The struggles are endless, from bad tenants, evictions, squatters, property damage, bad contractors, and a thousand other things. But these things are what make it worthwhile when it does work out.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are a local full-staffed barbershop with 11 contractors for all your haircut and styling needs.

Our brand is Relentless and what it means to embody somebody who never stops coming forward. We are in the local Corpus Christi, Texas, area and always take walk-ins!

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I like the bad and good of our city.

Our diverse culture is what makes us who we are. I’ve lived in good and bad areas of Corpus. And who I am today was created on Richard Street, a lower-income area near Ayers. My whole upbringing is why I am who I am today, with a chip on my shoulder. I have no complaints.
