Rising Stars: Meet Maria Castillo of Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Castillo

Hi Maria, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
This little dream of mine started 14 years ago when I landed in Texas ! I am originally born & raised in the San Fernando valley( North Hollywood ) shout out to my Californians ! Having to juggle a new state, city, environment was tough but non the less my love for flowers, hustle & small dream to one day become my own boss was a huge push for me and here I am 14 years later doing what I love to do best using my creativity to help coordinate, plan & bring in my floral eye & passion to each and every event’s unique personality !

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely has not been a smooth road & the way I see it, it never will be specially in the world we live in. Something will always be against you but it’s up to you to battle through the obstacles. Daily life, routine happens so it’s up to you to go out there and chase the dream & show up for yourself & your business because no one else will. If you have the Goal, drive & determination you will make it happen & for those who know me know my favorite saying to get through everyday or when a hiccup happens “El que quiere puede, con dios todo sin el nada “ .

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We do it all when it comes to events from Coordinating, Planning, Rentals, Florals there’s no small or huge request that we can’t make happen for any of our clients or as I like to call them Familia. From the moment you reach out to us through Social Media, Call, Email…you’re not treated as a number sign anyone can tell you this. Anyone that has used us as their vendor knows that what sets us apart is that we make sure anything down to the smallest request or the biggest we make it happen there is no in between we go above what their expectations are. Our goal is that every person we come across leaves with that happy/ full feeling that their event was executed in a timely manner & that every detail was done up to their expectations. No idea is too small or too big for us we adjust to any dream around here we know that with planning an event it takes much more than the wants for the day the hard work. Our clients also have a lot to do to get their needs/wants like save up-work to pay for these services we get it, we try to adjust and work along budgets if we can help in any which way we will. Our proud moment is when the event person walks in and sees their dream come together in that room and the “Oh my gods” & “Thank you’s ” come in with nearly tears, in that moment we know we’ve done it once again another proud moment for all our employees because we know our hard work & planning has been done.!

What are your plans for the future?
Our plan as of now Is to keep working hand in hand with all our clients to bring their vision & dreams alive this year and the upcoming one.! We also hope to keep expanding more than what we have been. We have entered our destination event era much more than before and with that we have a new chapter going in itself, we are beyond excited and blessed to see this evolve & we can’t wait to see what else the Floral/Event industry has in store for us.
