Inspiring Conversations with Doug Rogers of Dinkers Pickleball Club

Today we’d like to introduce you to Doug Rogers

Hi Doug, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The idea of Dinkers Pickleball Club started in August of 2023! My business partner and I were both in the mortgage business prior to founding Dinkers. As we played at different places around DFW, we noticed an immediate need, More Courts! With the unpredictable Texas weather, we knew we had to take it indoors. So now we have 15 indoor courts in a climate controlled 45,000 square foot facility.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The challenges were plenty. The building was a blank shell when we started out, so there were many construction delays along the way to prepare for what we have today.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Dinkers Pickleball Club – 15 outdoor surface, indoor courts plus 2 skinny singles courts. We are a full service pickleball facility that is a grass roots operation. Membership is not required to play at Dinkers, but is highly encouraged due to the savings and benefits involved. We have a mix of membership options that will cater to all. We offer private lessons with one or multiple of our staff pros as well as clinics, drills, open play, leagues and tournaments! We have partnered with Pickleball Central for our expansive pro shop, with paddles, clothing, and accessories.
Your Courts, Your Community!

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
The unknown!!! You’ve got to be organized. Expect the unexpected.
