Today we’d like to introduce you to Cesar Vargas
Hi cesar, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We started off as a cumbia jam band off Cayuga dr block in a neighborhood called casa view aka 64 in Dallas tx with the help of the barrio. Shout out to Champ and Jorge for helping me start the band we started out with no instruments just one little keyboard a good friend gifted me. I had dozens of beats i produced but felt like it we needed a live band. So, one day Jorge showed up with two guitars and some congas etc and the rest was history! Fast forward now we are 6-7 members deep! We all came from different bands mostly from different genres, but we had to go back to our Latin roots!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Looking back it wasn’t all a smooth road, we had several bumps on the way but we managed to keep our momentum going. We learned on how and who to keep around to build a solid team to make things work for the band. Much love to everybody who has supported us from day one we love yall!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I produce and write music. I started off making beats on my laptop and eventually got together a bunch of talented musicians to rock with me!
we are known for our live shows and live presence! We got music that make people want to dance!!
Im proud of our new album we just dopped called EL RITMO DEL BARRIO out now on streaming services, really proud of my crew they are always supportive.
what sets us apart from others is that everyone in the band comes from different backgrounds and styles and we turned it into one big party band!
What’s next?
We have a new album out called “El ritmo del barrio” on all streaming platforms and we have a vinyl in the making as we speak! We are very excited to show you guys what we got next, we also have a release party for the album in early november.in deep ellum!
