Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Hopton-jones
Hi Kelly, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I am Kelly, a pediatric nurse practitioner turned entrepreneur and social media influencer. I started sharing on social media when we bought an 1860 farmhouse in my hometown in Pennsylvania. My husband and I renovated the whole farmhouse, and brought it back to life. I have shared life as it has come since then: transitioning to clean living, battling infertility, going through IUI to get pregnant with our first, making the difficult decision to move back to Texas even though that meant moving away from my family, renovating our 1970s fixer upper with a 4 month old, getting spontaneously pregnant with our second, and all of the motherhood moments in between.
I love to share the real life moments, give inspiration for chasing dreams and establishing multiple streams of income utilizing the social spaces, and cultivating community in person and online.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Life is always a little bumpy, and you have to take it as it comes. In hindsight, there is always some beauty to be found, even in the most difficult moments. I struggled emotionally when we were navigating the journey of infertility, but I decided in that challenging time to write and publish a book that highlights that difficult journey to parenthood. It has been a difficult book to market on my own, but I have been so moved by the stories that have been shared with me about how my book helped to provide hope in the wait, and the beautiful “somedays” that have come since.
To me the true definition of success is simply continuing despite it being difficult or taking longer than you might have imagined.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am the true definition of an entrepreneur and creative. In the past 4+ years I have been building a social media following from scratch, learning the art of sharing, social selling, cultivating community, and marketing. I have learned and adapted along the way, but the simple decision to get out of my comfort zone to do something different has lead to even more opportunities and business ventures.
I wrote and published my book “Someday” in 2021- a book of hope in the journey to parenthood.
I built and established a clean living business with Young Living, teaching others how to transition to a low toxin lifestyle and why it’s important.
I partner with brands to market products that we use and love.
And most recently I have created a complete parent guidebook as a pediatric nurse practitioner and mama of two.
How do you define success?
The ability to stay consistent through the challenges without giving up.
