Exploring Life & Business with Tayler Bennett of Rae Design Interiors

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tayler Bennett

Tayler, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have always been a very artistic individual, and I had a lot of creativity and love of different art media types growing up. I fell in love with interior design at a high school career fair (believe it or not). From that point on, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in interior design and architecture. I was able to study Art History and Interior Architecture and Design while playing collegiate basketball. I grew up playing basketball and even had the opportunity to play professionally overseas, and am forever grateful for the places and education basketball has allowed me to visit and pursue. While playing professionally, I was able to work remotely as an interior designer, gathering insight and experience while planning out how I wanted to structure and create my own interior design business. I founded Rae Design Interiors in the spring of 2023 and while it has been a slow start, I am proud of the progress and clientele we have helped thus far. I love learning and growing as an interior designer and ensuring these same principles in my business. At Rae Design Interiors, we strive to create the perfect space for you and welcome all who are looking to create and beautiful and new space.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The process of creating and founding Rae Design Interiors has not been a smooth road (creating something never is). Some of the early challenges we faced were financing and trying to find cost-efficient ways that could benefit the business while not taking away from the artistic and professional branding and representation elements. After finalizing those details, our current challenge is maintaining consistent clientele. We are still a small but growing business and encourage all future and potential clientele to give us a chance to show what we can do.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
