Daily Inspiration: Meet Jajuan Baker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jajuan Baker

Hi Jajuan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started off my YouTube channel with making videos about games like Drive Ahead! and Rocket League. Drive Ahead is a game where you battle with cars and win by driving onto their head (it’s not as weird as you might think). The other game is about cars playing soccer which didn’t really do so well until I made a video titled “MY DREAM CAR IN ROCKET LEAGUE” which got 600 views so I posted like 7 other Rocket League videos.
What I’m really exited about is getting over 100 subscribers. I also got 17k views, 125 likes and 70 comments on my video titled “How to get a Witherstorm spawn egg” for Minecraft. I aspire to make a living being a YouTube gamer, basically my aspiration for being a YouTuber gamer comes from playing video games everyday and posting/editing videos.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I think the only time that I have ever had a problem with YouTubing was with editing. In my older videos that were priviated, my mom did all the editing. I privated them because they were from 5 years ago. I mean who wants to watch a video about a 5 year old playing soccer. My point is I had to be the one editing, I couldn’t just rely on my mom to do all the work forever. At first, I had no idea what app to use. It took me forever to find a good editing app but one day somebody suggested I should use CapCut and I’ve used it for a few videos and it’s really good.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a YouTuber specializing in making gameplay videos and the occasional basketball videos . What sets me apart from others is that: I’m really funny and hype all the time.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I know games. I play them all the time, all day if I could. I know what is popular and what kids are searching for. Sometimes I just get lucky, some videos get more views than others.
