Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Swann
Hi Sarah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Picture this: It’s 5 AM, and eighth grade me is in the bathroom mirror trying to figure out creative ways to style my hair for school. My mom’s idea of a good hair day is clean, greased, and brushed hair with a headband, lol. Going through puberty and the excitement of going to high school had me nervous and ready for a new look. But it was more than just an outward transformation for me – but more of an inward expression of my versatility!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
If I were to say it has a been smooth sailing, then my pants might catch fire! lol It has definitely been a journey.
I have been in the beauty industry since when you needed a braiding license! (Shout out to Isis for pushing through and all her efforts she contributed to the deregulation of braiding license in Texas!)
Back then I was renting a suite in the #1 place to live in the US the time (Mckinney, TX). Even though I had it easy was a struggle back then, I was young, only 20! I knew I had to finish cosmetology school. I wanted to so bad, but I was a teen mom of two at the time, and going to school full time while maintaining a household wasn’t realistic so I had to take a break from school to work, as well as be there for my young children.

Pink Swann Company consists of Pink Swann Beauty, my beauty blog which focuses on empowering beauty entrepreneurs through hair care and self care.
Also under the Pink Swann umbrella is The High Class Hustle which is a brand support program that provides a safe space for entrepreneurs who are passionate about connecting with their brand.
Professionally, I am a licensed hairstylist, my salon is located in Frisco, TX.
I truly believe that my ministry is within the beauty industry – my motto is, ” While enhancing others, you feed your own soul, ” and I am honored to be able to provide my clients a peace of mind, while enhancing their self care journey!
How do you define success?
