Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My story began at SMU in the Cox School of Business where I majored in Finance and participated in the Alternative Asset Management program. It was at SMU where I developed a passion for finance and built a strong foundation that I still rely on today. After graduation, I moved back home to Houston and worked for an oil and gas investment bank. The high-pressure environment allowed me to apply the knowledge I learned in school to work on complex transactions and develop my analytical skills even further. I then transitioned to in-house finance for private equity portfolio companies, where I honed my financial planning and analysis skills and learned how companies think strategically to grow. Ultimately, my passion for driving growth and success from the inside led me to start my own business where I can take my skills and share them with small business owners who want to take their business to the next level.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, but I am grateful for every bump along the way as each challenge played a crucial role in my personal and professional growth. Early in my career, the adjustment from an academic setting to the fast-paced world of investment banking was significant. The learning curve was steep and I often had moments of self-doubt, especially when faced with high demands and long hours.
The move to private equity came with its own set of challenges. I had to quickly adapt to a new mindset and shift to think more strategically about long-term value creation. While it was difficult to balance these demands, I learned resilience, adaptability, and the importance of a bigger-picture mindset. The diverse experiences and the hurdles I overcame made me more confident and capable in my professional journey.

I run a finance consulting firm that specializes in providing Financial Advice, Strategic Initiatives Support, and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A). I work closely with clients to help them optimize their financial operations, develop strategies that align with their long-term goals, and execute initiatives that drive growth and efficiency.
What sets me apart is the personalized approach I bring to each engagement. It is very important to me that I truly understand my clients’ needs, challenges, and aspirations, which allows me to deliver tailored solutions that make a meaningful impact. My background gives me a unique perspective, enabling me to offer strategic insights that go beyond traditional financial consulting.
