Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Ross

Hi Michelle, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
After years on the corporate side of restaurant and business management, I was looking for a change. I wanted something more flexible after having child. I decided to do something that I love. I started school full time and received my esthetician license from Salon Beauty Boutique in 2021. I have always loved all things beauty related. Skincare has been a passion for me after battling my own skin issues as a teenager. This ignited my passion to want to help people feel good about their skin and themselves.

It wasn’t easy getting a job straight out of school. It’s a fierce market and there are limited jobs for new estheticians. I did not want to work for a chain spa that offered limited services. So, I focused on performing services from my home on friends and family. I also dedicated myself to ongoing education and learning new practices. Once I felt confident in my abilities and techniques, I decided to open my own business as a solo esthetician. It has not been easy, but it has been very rewarding. I’m excited about the possibilities to come. I hope to see more growth as I continue to gain new clients and receive positive reviews. It is not an easy time to start a new business, but I know that I have what it takes to be successful. I will continue to dedicate myself to making people feel beautiful.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Building clientele as a solo esthetician has definitely been challenging, especially in an oversaturated industry. Standing out requires a blend of authenticity and distinctiveness. I’ll continue to focus on delivering personalized, high-quality service and building genuine connections with clients.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I offer a range of personalized skincare services, with a focus on customizing each treatment to meet individual client needs and goals. One of my standout services is the DiamondGlow facial, which is a non-invasive treatment that exfoliates, cleanses, and hydrates the skin. I am able to customize each one with targeted serums. Clients love the results. My customized facials are also a favorite for clients. I love personalizing each one. In addition I also provide lash lifts, brow laminations, and brow color services. I am most proud of achieving beautiful results and seeing my clients smile.
