Hi Jared, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a 4th generation Texan who moved from the North Texas area to the DFW in 2008. For the past 14 years, I was apart of a really special startup business based here in the DFW that had a tremendous growth story, and an impact that was far reaching. When I felt the timing was right for a professional change, I decided to jump head first into owning and operating Dumpster Dudez of Dallas.
This city is where I bought my first house, met and married my gorgeous wife, and where we raise our family. I have a desire to give back to Dallas for all that it’s done fore me, so starting a service-based business in this community was a no-brainer.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Oh, I’ve most definitely encountered some of that, but it’s to be expected when starting a business, right? No matter how well or how much you plan – sometimes stuff goes wrong, and that’s ok! The trick is not letting the stress of the unknown/unplanned cloud your judgement, or decision making.
There were some surprises, and unexpected expense in the beginning, for sure! I experienced shipping delays, financing delays, waiting periods, and had to do a lot of scheduling and rescheduling the month before I launched… But, it’s apart of the game, and I appreciated the lessons I learned from the little hiccups along the way.

I work hard, I do the right thing – even when it’s difficult, or puts me at a disadvantage – and I get back up when I’m knocked down.
But, honestly, nothing is more essential to me than the fantastic group of folks in my corner rooting for me to win – I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support of my brilliant wife and family. I also have a network of successful business owners that will pick up the phone when I call, and have been very generous sharing their insight and knowledge of what being a business owner is like.
