Today we’d like to introduce you to Corina Villegas
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My love for balloon decorations started when I planned my son’s first birthday party. Shortly after his first birthday, I started college and I left my corporate job in pursuit of a career in education. The Texas Tech Teacher Preparation Program I attended was very demanding and I could not hold a typical 9-5 job so I took a leap of faith and followed my love for balloon decorations to make some extra money. It was during the pandemic that I decided to learn the art of balloon decorations. I self-taught myself by watching YouTube videos. When we were finally cleared from quarantine, I attended a few balloon classes where I mastered my techniques and learned hands-on. I graduated from Texas Tech in 2022, and my small business kept growing. Now I am a full-time educator and run my business from home in the evenings and weekends. All of this would not be possible without the help and support of my family.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting your own small business comes with a lot of sacrifices. You work long hours to plan and create beautiful installs. Not to mention, you miss out on having your own social life with your own families because you’re so dedicated to making other people’s dreams come true. I love making people happy, and my small business has allowed me to help customers create long-lasting memories, that make everything worthwhile. There are slow seasons, I take advantage of these breaks to spend much-needed time with my loved ones and it also helps to relax and revamp for the busy seasons.

I specialize in offering balloon decorations for all types of events. We work on all themes and help our customers personalize their events to their style and preferences, so every installation is thoroughly planned based on our customer’s requests. We value our customers and take pride in offering top-quality materials. We also offer multiple services like marquee number rental, and throne chair rental and have multiple backdrops available to complete any theme. I am most proud of being able to bring joy to my campus and my classroom by decorating for my students. Seeing how happy our students get seeing the work of art is so rewarding!
What does success mean to you?
I would define success as risking everything to jump-start an idea or project. Failing on that idea or project but never giving up. Every day is a new beginning, and if you never start or try, how will you ever know if you are capable?
