Rising Stars: Meet Amber Nicole of South Arlington

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Nicole

Hi Amber, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always loved everything artsy, and I always watched videos of artist decorating cookies. So when I found out my daughter was extremely allergic to peanuts, I had to figure out what to do for her 1st birthday. I knew I could do her cake, but I wanted cookies too! So I figured I’d give it a go, and I was amazed how great I was at it. After I shared photos of my work, people started asking me to do them, and now I’m hooked! I came up with my business name, The Crafty Cookie Jar, and 2 ½ yrs later here I am!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No it hasn’t been smooth at all but that’s business! My goal is to get a bigger space so I can take more orders and get more equipment that will make it a smoother ride in the future!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I decorate sugar cookies! Not just that but I can customize just about anything you want because I have a 3D printer and I make my own cookie cutters! I am most proud of how far I have came in such a short time frame. What sets me apart from other cookiers would really have to be my cookie recipe it’s full of flavor and on the softer side, so it’s gorgeous and tasty!

Any big plans?
With everything going on in the world, I am still hopeful to have a successful business. I look forward to growing bigger and getting new equipment (edible printer, cookie racks) and a bigger place so that I can make more people happy with my cookies and other treats!
