Life & Work with Dinesh Arya Chiranji of Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dinesh Arya Chiranji

Hi Dinesh Arya, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
As an international student pursuing a master’s degree at the University of North Texas, my journey into the world of fashion modeling began unexpectedly during the lockdown. The isolation sparked a newfound interest in runway modeling, igniting a passion that would soon transform my life.
Arriving in the US in fall 2023, I wasted no time in pursuing my modeling dreams. Within just a month of setting foot on American soil, I was vigorously hunting for modeling opportunities. My determination paid off quickly as I secured spots walking in prestigious events like Austin Fashion Week at The Domain and Dallas X Fashion at The Village Dallas.
The momentum continued to build as I balanced my studies with an increasing number of modeling gigs. I had the opportunity to model for Merchandising Inc. in North Texas, further expanding my portfolio and industry connections. In addition to runway shows, I participated in at least five conceptual photoshoots, honing my skills and versatility as a model.
Looking ahead, I’m thrilled to be part of the upcoming Dallas Fashion Week in October, where I’ll be walking on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. It’s been a whirlwind year, juggling academics and modeling, but my deep connection to the craft and the universe’s apparent support have made it all possible.
This journey from international student to budding runway model in just one year has been nothing short of exhilarating. It’s a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and seizing opportunities as they arise. As I continue to navigate the fashion world while pursuing my master’s degree, I’m excited to see where this unexpected path will lead me next.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
While my journey into the world of fashion modeling has been exhilarating, it certainly hasn’t been without its challenges. The road to success in this industry is often paved with obstacles, and my experience has been no exception.
One of the biggest hurdles has been the constant cycle of auditions and portfolio updates. The fashion world moves at a breakneck pace, and staying relevant means continuously refining my look and showcasing my versatility. It’s a never-ending process of self-improvement and adaptation.
As an international student, I’ve also had to grapple with the emotional toll of being far from home. Dealing with depression and homesickness while trying to maintain the vibrant, charming persona expected in the modeling world has been a significant challenge. It’s not easy to exude confidence and charisma when you’re battling inner turmoil, but I’ve learned to push through and keep a smile on my face, even on the toughest days.
Living independently for the first time has brought its own set of challenges. From managing my own finances to maintaining the impeccable hair and skin required for modeling, every day is a balancing act. The expenses associated with pursuing this passion, on top of my studies, have often been daunting.
Yet, despite these struggles, my determination to succeed has been my driving force. The vision of where I want to be in this industry keeps me going, pushing me to overcome each obstacle as it arises. It’s this unwavering commitment to my dreams that has allowed me to transform challenges into stepping stones, propelling me forward in both my modeling career and personal growth.
This journey has taught me that the road to success is rarely smooth, but it’s the bumps along the way that shape us and make the destination all the more rewarding.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As a multifaceted individual, my professional and personal pursuits reflect a diverse range of interests and skills. Professionally, I spent three years as a financial analyst, honing my analytical skills and gaining valuable industry experience. Currently, I’m in the process of an exciting career transition, setting my sights on the dynamic fields of supply chain management and business analytics.
However, what truly sets me apart is the vibrant tapestry of my personal passions and the unique perspective I bring to everything I do. I’m an avid dancer, finding joy and expression in movement. Music is another outlet for my creativity – I play the guitar, using it as a means to unwind and connect with others. Fashion is not just a career path for me, but a form of self-expression. I love experimenting with outfits, pushing boundaries, and crafting unique looks that reflect my personality.
Perhaps my greatest strength lies in my networking abilities. I’m known for my exceptional socializing skills and strive to embody charisma in all my interactions. This natural affinity for connecting with people has opened numerous doors in both my personal and professional life, allowing me to build a diverse and supportive network.
What I’m most proud of is the growth I’ve achieved and the unwavering dedication I’ve shown towards my passions. Watching myself evolve, overcoming challenges, and making tangible progress in my modeling career while balancing my studies has been incredibly rewarding.
But what truly distinguishes me is my relentless optimism. I approach life with a positive outlook, always seeking the silver lining in every situation. Even when faced with struggles and hurdles, I view them as valuable lessons and opportunities for growth. This optimistic perspective not only helps me navigate challenges but also inspires those around me.
My ability to see the brighter side of things, coupled with my diverse skill set and passionate approach to life, creates a unique blend that sets me apart. It’s this combination of optimism, versatility, and dedication that I believe will continue to drive my success in both the modeling world and beyond.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
Reflecting on my childhood, I find it hard to pinpoint just one favorite memory; there are so many that have shaped who I am today. Here are a few that stand out:
The TV Show Interview
One of my most memorable moments was when I was just 10 years old and had the opportunity to be interviewed for a TV show. It was a pop quiz segment, and while I was bubbling with excitement, I was also incredibly nervous inside. I remember trying to project confidence, and to my delight, I ended up performing well, coming close to securing first place! That experience taught me the importance of composure and the thrill of stepping out of my comfort zone.
The First Ride
Another cherished memory is from my first day of high school when I was 15. I decided to take my dad’s sunglasses, slip into my brother’s shoes, and joyfully ride a two-wheeler for the very first time. The thrill of freedom was exhilarating, and I can still picture my dad standing by the roadside, capturing the moment with his camera. The sense of adventure and the pride of starting a new chapter in my life made it unforgettable.
The Musical Performance
At the age of 11, I performed music at a hotel for a birthday party, and that experience remains etched in my heart. The applause and appreciation I received after my performance were overwhelming. I can hardly describe the happiness that washed over me—it was a moment of pure joy and validation that ignited my passion for performing.
A Treasure Trove of Memories
These moments are just a glimpse into the treasure trove of memories from my childhood. Each experience has contributed to my growth, shaping my confidence, creativity, and love for performance. While I could share countless stories, these particular memories stand out as defining moments that continue to inspire me today.
