Meet Clinton & Eureka Pinkney of Caremate Wellness Solutions, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Clinton & Eureka Pinkney

Hi Clinton & Eureka, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Caremate Wellness Solutions was founded to help people live better, particularly older individuals and those with disabilities. The company was established in early 2020 with the doors opening in October of the same year, during the heart of the pandemic. Recognizing the unmet need for quality, comprehensive services for these populations, we made it our mission to provide the care they require. We have extensive experience in academic, medical, research, and county health institutions, with Clinton boasting over 30 years in nursing in several disciplines. With a shared passion for serving others, transitioning into the long-term care industry was a natural choice for us. Despite the challenges we have faced, we won’t grow weary in doing this work because our faith in Jesus Christ provides us the strength to continue our labor of love. We firmly believe that if we were called to this work, we will be supported every step of the way. This is kingdom work indeed.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been an easy journey. We had to find ways to serve the low-income community while still making a profit. Additionally, we had to figure out how to reach the affluent population who could afford to pay for our services privately. Our biggest challenge was connecting with the veteran community to provide our services. Our organization is truly grassroots – we are not a franchise. We built our agency from the ground up using our funds from working in Corporate America. We essentially invested everything we had into this endeavor. We also learned that our industry can be “cliquish.” Some people tend to work in silos, and that’s okay; we don’t judge. We learned how to navigate this by being in the field and talking to people about who we are and what our mission is. Networking plays a huge part in our development, and simply asking for what we needed, helped too. Knowing how to get people’s buy-in was crucial in our growth and development process.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Caremate Wellness Solutions offers in-home direct care services to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those with chronic episodic illnesses. We are licensed to provide Personal Assistance Services (PAS) in Texas and Licensed Home Health Services. Our agency serves individuals aged 18 to 100+ in Dallas and Tarrant counties, their surrounding counties, and Central Texas (Temple/Killeen and Waco). In addition to homecare, we serve as a resource hub, providing various resources to our clients to meet their multi-level needs. We believe in collaborative care to achieve superior outcomes for our clients. Our bottom line goal is to provide quality living assistance services to those who need them. We want to help people age in place and live comfortably at home. Our services help our clients avoid hospital readmissions, emergency room visits, and ambulance rides. Our collaborations with home health agencies are conducive to these competencies. We are excited about our collaborations with other community-based services as they enhance our ability to provide care at the level we do. We work closely with the Alzheimer’s Association, the Dallas Area Agency on Aging, the Tarrant County Area Agency on Aging, and the Veterans Administration. We strive to foster the right relationships and collaborations to enhance our ability to provide exceptional care to our clients. We truly believe that through collaborations, we make each other better.

Some other great facts and accomplishments are that Caremate Wellness Solutions is a state and federal contractor, allowing us to accept Medicaid to care for those with a lower income (who happen to need the services the most) and we are in network with TriWest CCN to care for the Veteran population. Accepting Medicaid is a key part of our mission to serve the underserved. We cared for the underserved before we cared for any other population and we are thankful to have such a positive impact on their well-being. Furthermore, we are a 2024 candidate for Joint Commission Accreditation, demonstrating our commitment to meet and exceed the standards of excellence for home-based community care. Our small business certifications have also been instrumental in our growth and development, enabling us to provide services to those who may not otherwise have access to our care.

What does success mean to you?
“We measure success by the impact of our efforts, such as enhancing someone’s quality of life, witnessing positive results from our wellness offerings, and even saving a life, no matter how few. Success is about achieving something greater than oneself and for the benefit of others. If, in 10 years, someone remembers how Caremate Wellness Solutions contributed to their improved well-being, that in itself is a success. People may not always recall what you said, but they will always remember how you made them feel.”
