Inspiring Conversations with Tj Green of TJ’s Animation Workshop

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tj Green

Hi TJ , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
When I was in high school, I created an animated video on William Shakespeare for an English project. My project got me a 98 / 100, ironically the video had little to do with William Shakespeare. It was more of animated me getting into different chaotic situations.

This was the first spark that opened my eyes to the joy that animation brought to people. Years later, I would stumble into the Entrepreneurship Center on the campus of Mississippi State University I had an idea for an app that I would pursue for about 8 months. During that 8 months, I would need to market my idea in which I would use animated videos to do so. People instantly understood what the app did after watching my animated video.

I would then start pursuing animation on the side and then I instantly close a $2k deal which was a big deal to me at that time. I had a decision to make, keep trying to make an app work, in which i had to spend alot of time and money on the front end in hopes on making it back times 10 later, or start making good revenue now with the animation brand and grow it. Now here we are.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road but it has been worth it. Some struggles include:
– Having to educate organization leaders on what animation can bring to the business world
– Understanding that running a company and working for a company are two totally different things. but also realizing when you are running your company you are also working for your company as well
– of course the common financial hurdles
– Not understanding the next steps we need to take as an organization

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Our company has grown into more than an animation brand but also a marketing firm

We have helped businesses and nonprofit organizations with understanding how they can gain more revenue using digital tools

We also started an online school in January of this year where we teach about digital marketing, animation, artificial intelligence and more

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Being in the community and making a difference in other organizations. For example, when we sit down with a nonprofit organization and help then with their digital marketing or plug them into our online school. We feel like we are branching a piece of ourself into that community because of the work that is already being done by that organization. And we feel that we are multiplying what we have to offer in a more impactful way
