Hidden Gems: Meet Diane Oquist of Infinity TC Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diane Oquist

Hi Diane, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
For the past 30 years, my husband and I have been deeply involved in the real estate world, exploring various facets of the market—flipping homes, managing rentals, investing in multifamily units, storage, and even lending. Throughout this journey, I balanced both careers as an elementary school teacher, enjoying my career of educating young minds while also nurturing our real estate investments.

This May, after years of facilitating our own real estate transactions, I made the decision to leave teaching and focus on real estate full-time. This transition has not only allowed me to dedicate more time to my real estate endeavors but has also freed me up to pursue my biggest passion—spending quality time with my family and our new grand baby.

In my role as a transaction coordinator, I ensure that our deals go smoothly and that no crucial steps are overlooked. Now, I’m leveraging those skills to assist other real estate professionals in navigating their own transactions, helping them stay on track and freeing up their time to concentrate on what they do best.

In addition to managing transactions, we continue to provide funding for other people’s real estate ventures, and we’re actively seeking to acquire another apartment complex where we can add value and further grow our portfolio.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been far from a smooth road, but each obstacle has made us stronger and more resilient. One of the biggest hurdles we faced was losing a significant amount of money to someone we trusted through a Ponzi scheme. It was an incredibly tough blow, both financially and emotionally, but through our faith, we found the strength to persevere. This experience taught us some of the most valuable lessons about due diligence, and the importance of taking control of our investments. We came out of that situation more cautious, but also more determined to rebuild and move forward.

Surviving the 2008 real estate crash was another major challenge. We had properties during that time and, like many others, were hit hard. But we learned valuable lessons about market cycles, risk management, and perseverance.

Then, during the pandemic, we had eight homes for sale—a time when uncertainty and market shifts were constant. We had to adapt quickly, using creative strategies to keep things moving forward.

Through each of these struggles, we’ve come out stronger, more cautious, and better equipped to handle adversity. The obstacles have shaped us into more knowledgeable and determined investors.

We’ve been impressed with Infinity TC Solutions, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Infinity TC Solutions, we specialize in making real estate transactions as smooth and efficient as possible. As a Transaction Coordinator, I help real estate professionals stay organized and ensure every step of the process is handled with precision. What sets us apart is our focus on the details so that our investors and borrowers can focus on growing their businesses. I’ve always been extremely organized, having managed our own real estate investments for years, so transitioning into this role was a natural fit.

We take particular pride in our work with Private Money Lenders. Since we’ve been in their shoes, we understand how crucial it is to ensure that every loan is secure. I love helping lenders develop good lending practices to grow their business with confidence.

Additionally, I enjoy working with visionaries—those who acquire real estate creatively—and helping them stay organized throughout the process. My goal is to ensure their deals are executed on time and accurately, so they can focus on the bigger picture.

At Infinity TC Solutions, we’re here to support your real estate investments and help you get them across the finish line efficiently, freeing you up to focus on what you do best.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
A book that really resonated with me and sums up how my husband and I like to approach our lives and business ventures is The Go-Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann. The book’s core message of shifting focus from getting to giving truly speaks to me. It emphasizes that putting others’ interests first and continually adding value to their lives can lead to unexpected returns. This mindset aligns perfectly with how we approach both business and personal relationships—always aiming to serve others and help them succeed, which ultimately creates a ripple effect of success for everyone involved.
