Alicia , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I had the opportunity in 2015, to become the owner of Beatitudes Tea Room. We have been providing the DFW area with the finest flavors of loose-leaf tea. My vision was simple: to glorify God, create a welcoming space where folks could gather, listen to gospel music and enjoy a delicious meal with tea. Today, we continue that tradition at our larger location, a tea room, gift shop and private party room!
I bake and create all my recipes in our small kitchen here at Beatitudes Tea Room. This past year my husband Dave
has joined me. We have a dedicated staff, they serve with love, hugs and
smiles.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Yes, there have been struggles along the way. I call them faith builders 😀
Watching God sustain this business has been remarkable. We made it through covid without getting a loan. Folks from the surrounding cities came and gave with love. I am very grateful to God and all the fine folks who have supported us through the years.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have served in the restaurant business for over 35 years.
Tea parties, guest service is what we specialize in, along with healthy delicious food, fine loose leaf teas from all over the world. We carry over 30 flavors of loose leaf tea. Soups. Salads, sandwiches, quiche and desserts.
We are very pleased that in 2025 we will be 10 years old!

Risk- having to borrow money was a humbling experience
