Meet Zolean Bruner of Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zolean Bruner

Hi Zolean, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I became involved in Sisters Network Dallas, Inc. about 10 years ago. I did volunteering in various places of the organization. As a breast cancer survivor, I want to reach out to the community to share that this disease is not a death sentence. I’m a 23-year survivor who recently had a negative mammogram and made a decision to have a bilateral mastectomy. Which has given me a much deeper passion for educating others about the disease.

Today as the President of Sisters Network Dallas, Inc. I want to embrace our community by sharing opportunities through monthly survivorship groups, and special care, for the educational, physical, and spiritual needs of survivorship through our organization.

The national organization has celebrated 30 years of existence and our local affiliate has existed for twenty years. We plan to be in existence for many more years to serve our community that is under/uninsured providing mammograms and financial support to women facing financial challenges during treatment.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been a smooth road when you have the support of other women facing the disease of breast cancer.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Self-Employed – Zolean Bruner is also self-employed as the CEO and Owner of Kingdom Affair Events and COO of GZ Global Travel agency.
