Marquise , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
At a young age, I saw how my grandparents and my family came together to cook food on special holidays with love and unity! With our faith background that brought us all together it having a endless impression on my heart , understanding that food is where the heart is and that’s why I want to become aChef, to give back and give people an experience of a lifetime with textures, flavors, and food originally starting my business in Orlando, Florida building, creating and cooking for well-known celebrities in the area. It helped me to learn and grow and thrive to become the Chef that. I am today. It all started with meal preps, then catering events, and then a large elaborate parties. Then open the door for me to began to cook for well gnome, celebrities in the industries of music, pro athletes, and radio personnel that I can truly say it’s all about those small intimate moments where I can make a client smile through my experience and in the ride, I take them on with every taste with every bite of food growing here in Dallas has open the horizon for me to grow on another level to build my brand! However, is the small things to see a plate being empty has shaped my whole career for the betterment of my life and others. Now I can say with consistency and growth. It has propelled me to reach another level of success at another level of just relating to people buy food that blesses my heart. It’s my true ministry of all time.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This journey for me, as being a chef has taught me a lot of things as pulled me is push me. It has perfected my skill set in my creativity and yes, there has been moments where the road has not been smooth. I’ve had my ups and downs with doing business with the wrong people with learning from Compromising in matters where I shouldn’t, but it all taught me on how to better myself as a business man/entrepreneur. I can truly say that it is learning tool for the betterment of my future of my business and now I have learned how to do good business and knowing when to say yes to things and know to things to best represent me in the best quality and way! But through it all, I’ve learned a lot, and this helped me to be a better chef
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
For me, I am a chef a celebrity chef I cook for a well-known clientele to give them experiences that they can’t get at a restaurant. I love to bring that vibe to them personally specialize and fine dining with a modern day twist of soul the most thing that I’m proud of is creating menus and different dishes that people might recognize from my old traditional standpoint, but making them my own by bringing a party And bringing an over-the-top experience to your table with having my own all purpose seasoning that sells the deal when the night is over what sets me apart from different chefs is that I show you a side of food that will give you and help you understand with each smell and flavor That it is an uncompromising taste
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love about Dallas and the city here is that it is a melting pot of different things. You don’t know what you will get until you explore. I love it because there are a lot of young entrepreneurs chasing their dreams and to showcase what they love and what they believe in that helps me to be who I am and to always be creative and how I present my craft One thing that I like least about the city is that the traffic is always bad during the end of the week until the weekend. It’s hard to get to where you need to be especially when you need to be there on time.
