Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabrielle Thomas
Hi Gabrielle, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
The beginning of my journey felt like it was truly guided by God. Just three weeks after moving into a new apartment with my two young kids, I was laid off from a job I’d held for five years. Though I hadn’t felt fulfilled in the role, the layoff was still a shock, bringing both relief and a sudden wave of panic. I wasn’t sure what would come next, but I knew I had a passion for helping others achieve their goals—I just didn’t yet see how to channel it.
After lots of prayer and consciously leaning into faith, I woke up one night at 2 a.m. with an old idea resurfacing: becoming a realtor. It felt almost as if the thought was whispered to me, and I knew it was a sign. Following that inspiration, I invested nearly half of my remaining savings and enrolled in real estate school, setting myself a six-week deadline to earn my license. With faith, determination, and the support of my family, that’s exactly what I did.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not! Getting my real estate license was the easy part —the real challenge was actually being a realtor. Networking, finding clients, learning to market myself—the list goes on, and none of it is easy. My first month with my license, I landed a buyer client and felt like I was on top of the world. But after getting the offer accepted, my client backed out, which hit me hard. Combined with the pressure to provide and some personal challenges, it really tested my spirits. I needed steady income, so I returned to work as a substitute teacher.
A few months later, I joined a new brokerage and felt that same excitement for the future again. I threw myself into the work and became a lease expert—but buyers and sellers were still hard to come by. So, I prayed on it and decided to join One Eleven Property Group for mentorship and support. Just a few months in, I closed my first sale.
Balancing full-time work, full-time motherhood, and real estate can lead to moments of imposter syndrome—but I know this path is meant for me. My faith keeps me grounded, and anytime doubt creeps in, I push right past it. Every obstacle and setback has shaped who I am and what I do today, and I’m grateful for it all.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a licensed Realtor in Texas, specializing in helping clients navigate the buying, selling, and leasing process. My focus is on making real estate as accessible and stress-free as possible, whether it’s a first-time homebuyer, a seasoned investor, or someone looking to lease. I’m committed to understanding my clients’ unique goals and finding solutions tailored to their needs, and I’m here to be a trusted resource and guide in every step of their real estate journey.
I’m proud of my dedication and faith in the work I do. No matter what challenges come up, I make sure to persevere, keeping the experience as stress-free as possible for my clients and encouraging them to stay positive and hopeful, too.
What I believe sets me apart from other realtors is my genuine passion for helping others achieve their goals. Yes, the financial aspect matters, but when I’m showing homes or closing transactions, the real reward is seeing the excitement and happiness on my clients’ faces. There was a time in my life when I didn’t fully understand what true happiness felt like, so being able to help others experience a bit of that is everything to me. Because of this, I’m not just working for a paycheck—I’m working to help someone achieve a moment they’ve dreamed about.
What matters most to you?
My family’s peace and happiness are my top priorities. Everything I do is for them, so they can live a life that’s happy, peaceful, and full of resources. My dad, especially, hasn’t always had an easy life, but he’s worked incredibly hard to be an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. I’m grateful for him, and I want him to know just how proud I am. Making sure my parents can relax and fully enjoy life is what keeps me motivated every day.
