Michelle, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m originally from east TX, during 2020 I attended the Aveda arts Institiute of Dallas. I graduated and obtained my Esthetician license. I moved to Dallas in the Fall of 2021. I started my career working at a salon that provided multiple beauty services. After about a year, I decided to focus on waxing and make that my niche. I worked for other waxing companies for the next couple of years before gaining the experience I needed to go solo!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely been a road filled with bumps. Along the way I’ve faced feeling homesick, rejection, financial hardships, self-doubt and a lack of confidence.

I am a licensed Esthetician in the state of Texas. I specialize in Brazilian waxes plus full body waxing. I believe to shine means to be the best version of yourself. My goal with every one of my clients is to make them feel comfortable, confident, and make waxing a less intimidating experience. What I believe sets me apart from other waxers in the industry is my personalized approach, I provide customized services that cater to the individual needs of my clients. I also provide comfort and care to each client by creating a relaxing and reassuring environment. I have meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all of my clients leave with flawless results. I provide expert knowledge to my clients, keeping up to date on after care products, techniques and making sure they get the best results from waxing. My hygiene standards are top notch, using high-quality products, I ensure a clean professional environment. Beyond all of those things that I believe set me apart, I think most importantly, I myself am what my clients continue to support. My genuine kindness and care for their well-being is what I offer all of my clients. I know waxing can be a vulnerable experience; therefore, I do my best to make clients feel at ease, valued and special. I am my brand, so I am most proud of my positive impact. I help clients feel more confident and comfortable in their own skin, making a real difference in their self-esteem. I’d like for readers to know along with full body waxing I also provide vajacials (soothing skin treatment done post Brazilian wax), lash lifts and in the future hopefully brow laminations. I think everyone should prioritize self-care; you’re nurturing both your body and mind, which translates to better confidence and overall happiness. Don’t be afraid to shine!

Before I decided to pursue a career in Esthetics, I went to school for dance. At one point in life, I thought I wanted to be a dance teacher. Ultimately it wasn’t my true calling however I am still involved in the dance community and teach from time to time.
