Beth, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Moving to the United States at 12, I brought with me a burning desire to succeed and make my family proud. Born into a family where high school graduation was a rarity, education became my top priority.
Balancing high school, cosmetology school and part-time job demanded resilience. Ultimately, 2009 marked a milestone: I graduated from high school and earned my cosmetology license.
Following years of valuable experience at different salons in Dallas I’m grateful for mentors and opportunities that shaped my career. From my grandmother, to my mother, my cosmetology teacher and indeed my clients that have followed me over the years.
From the beginning to now I am very thankful as they paved the way to a successful bright future in the beauty industry.
Today, I proudly own a thriving salon in Uptown Dallas. I plan on continuing to innovate and expand Beth Thomas Salon and Blowdry Bar.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some of the struggles along the way were adapting to American culture, mastering the language and separating from my grandmother who raised me posed significant emotional distress as teenager.

Beth the owner of the salon is a skilled, experienced hairstylist with over 15 years of experience. Beth Thomas Salon and Blowdry Bar is a beauty professional salon that likes to provide a warm friendly experience. We aim to carry the best, luxury must-haves home care products to keep the integrity of the hair.
We love to provide a positive atmosphere, and make our guests feel comfortable and welcomed.
Beth specializes in cuts for men and women, color and styling. Beth does different foiling technics such as highlights, baby lights, and foilyage.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I had big dreams and an insatiable curiosity. I yearned to attend school, unlock new knowledge, and create a brighter future for myself. Making my family proud was important and I was determined to succeed. With a thirst for adventure, I longed to explore the world, discover new experiences, and learn from them. These ambitions fueled my passion for learning and drove me to work tirelessly towards a better tomorrow.
