“Born and raised in Honduras, I came to this country three years ago with big dreams and goals. I’m an engineer by profession with a master’s degree in supply chain management, but I never imagined I would find my true passion in the field of immigration services. To better serve my community, I pursued studies as a paralegal, which has equipped me to help people file their immigration applications and guide them step-by-step through this complex system.
Today, with the unwavering support of my wonderful family, I run a successful office in Arlington, Texas, where we serve clients across all 50 states. My husband and our three children have been the cornerstone of my success, providing me with the love and motivation to grow and help others build a better future.”
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been an easy journey! When I arrived in this country, I faced many challenges, from adapting to a new culture and system to dealing with the uncertainty of starting from scratch. Even with a strong academic background, it wasn’t simple to find a field where I could apply my skills while also following my passion.
Balancing my studies as a paralegal, building my business, and taking care of my family was a significant challenge. There were days when it felt impossible, but my husband and children were my biggest source of support and motivation. I also faced the obstacle of not being a lawyer in a field where that’s often the standard. However, I focused on learning, preparing myself, and proving that I could make a meaningful difference by helping my community in an ethical and effective way.
Every obstacle taught me something valuable, and today, I look back with gratitude for the lessons learned and the strength those moments gave me. 😊
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work focuses on helping the immigrant community navigate the U.S. immigration system. As a certified paralegal, I specialize in preparing and filing immigration proceedings, with a particular focus on asylum cases, adjustment of status, family-based petitions, and other services within the immigration system.
Although I am not an attorney, my training and experience have allowed me to help immigrants prepare their immigration forms. This allows me to offer professional and detailed assistance, guiding my clients through every step of their paperwork. What I am most proud of is that my clients are not only successful in obtaining the immigration status they need, but also receive the support and guidance that gives them the confidence to face this complex process.
What sets me apart is my close and personalized approach. Unlike many others in the field, I focus on offering a comprehensive service, not only legally, but also emotionally. In addition, thanks to technology, I am able to help clients in all 50 states, something I consider a unique advantage in my Arlington, Texas office.
