Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaliyah Griffin
Hi Aaliyah , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey began when I decided to turn my big dream into reality during my maternity leave. I’ve always been passionate about content creation, social media marketing, and, of course, all things wedding-related. Before becoming a mom, I spent four years in the wedding industry as a bridal specialist at Lela Rose in Highland Park Village. During my maternity leave, I had the opportunity to focus on content creation and collaborate with brands like Great Wolf Lodge, Nanit, and Swiffer Mop. Creating eye-catching content for various social media platforms was the spark that ignited something new.
After months of prayer and placing my complete faith in God, I finally took the leap and started my own content creation business. Merging my two passions—content creation and the wedding industry—has been life-changing and led to the birth of *Blissful Details by Aaliyah*.
Today, I’m proud to celebrate one year in business. In that time, I’ve had the honor of capturing over 40 weddings, traveling to five different states and three countries. I feel incredibly blessed for the amazing couples, talented wedding vendors, and the many opportunities that have come my way. It’s been a truly unforgettable journey.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. As I’ve mentioned, I’m a mom to one, a wife, and a first-time business owner. In the beginning, there was no income coming in from my side. I worked tirelessly to get my name and services out there, while my incredibly supportive husband took care of everything else. The first month, I shot three weddings for free and partnered with local business owners who gave me the chance to create engaging content for their social media platforms.
During this time, we also received the news that our son might be on the spectrum, which led to him starting speech therapy. At the same time, I was juggling the demands of growing my business and taking on new clients. There were moments when I seriously considered putting everything on hold, but God reminded me that he didn’t bring me this far to quit or doubt myself. It was a season of strength and determination. Even when I felt overwhelmed, drained, and discouraged, my son and husband were the driving force that kept me going.
Now, here I am—booked almost every weekend, traveling the world to work with brides who trust my craft, and building a loyal, recurring clientele.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a wedding/event/business content creator. I specialize in capturing and curating behind-the-scenes moments, unique details, and candid highlights of your special day to share on social media or for personal keepsakes.
> Wedding Day Content – I share behind-the-scenes glimpses during the ceremony and reception. Capturing emotional moments like vows, speeches, and dances. Creating Instagram Stories, Reels, or TikToks with trendy effects. Clients can share their wedding highlights immediately instead of waiting weeks for professional photos or videos. Unlike traditional photographers or videographers, a wedding content creator focuses on creating engaging, real-time content tailored for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.
> Social Media Expertise – I craft content that resonates with the couple’s audience and trends.
> Vendor Appreciation – I showcase vendors’ work in action, helping with mutual marketing. It’s an emerging role that’s perfect for couples who value the storytelling aspect of their big day, especially on digital platforms.
Any big plans?
My goal is to expand *Blissful Details* across the United States.
Currently, I have a team of three, and by the beginning of 2025, I plan to onboard at least two more content creators. While we’re based in North Texas, I’m aiming to build teams in different states, allowing us to serve brides on both the East and West Coasts.
This expansion will also open the door to offering our social media content creation services to more corporate businesses and events.
Ultimately, my vision is to run a global content creation company that serves both the wedding and corporate industries, reaching clients around the world.
