Hi Jennifer , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
“The Perfect Match”
I am “The Real Housewife of Texas” a seasoned Professional Relationship Coach! I’ve been responsible for successfully aiding in matching some of the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex’s finest singles! Healthy Relationship Soultions, is a Coaching business I started in 2013, that hosted single’s events called, “The Eat, Drink & Paint Playdates,” that took place at what was formally known, as Button’s Restaurant in Fort Worth, Texas. I’ve also, worked for two of the top Dating Firms (formerly The Fort Worth Dating Co. & It’s Just Lunch) in the Dallas, Fort Worth Area of Texas, helping hundreds of singles find love here in Texas and globally with “It’s Just Lunch!” I love “all things Texas,” the beauty of the city, the southern charm, football, especially since, having previously worked for The Dallas Cowboys – NFL Pro Sports Team in Accounting AND so, of course, I MARRIED A TEXAN NATIVE!
My husband and I have been married for 24 years. We will be celebrating our 25th year in 2025! Keno Gowans, is a Software Engineer for a Dental Software Company and a Gaming Professional with a YouTube channel under, Gamefreak4ever (with thousands of subscribers). Together, we currently have a Podcast ” by the name of, “The Real Housewife of Texas,” that streams on Spotify and is available on YouTube. Our two dynamics together, me being a Certified Relationship Coach and him being, a Tech guru, is the perfect marriage of a podcast! He handles our technical issues and behind the scenes, as well as on air co-host and I’m the Dating Professional that brings year’s of experience to the platform. Together, the two f us bring 24 years of marriage! in 2009, we were Radio Personalities for our own talk radio show called, “Exposed” Christian Talk, on an internet radio station formerly known as, kmocradio.com. This was before the era that we know now as, “the era of Podcasts.” We started the podcast, because, in 2020, I was diagnosed with Stage 5 Kidney Failure. After finding out, I was going to need a kidney transplant and doing dialysis was going to be the only option for maintaining my health until transplant, we knew I’d have to stop working full time in my career. Although, I’m still in need of a new kidney, I was able to transition home and start treatment, by doing at-home peritoneal dialysis. I even became an ambassador for The American Kidney Fund (AKF) and The National Kidney Foundation. I educate individuals and bring awareness to the great need of Kidney donors across the world! We knew we needed to do something to allow me to still thrive in my career, but also, be able to focus on my health, as well. So, “The Real Housewife of Texas” was born!
We are a match made in heaven! We met at work back in the year 2000. We use to work for a Warranty company in our early career, when we were just starting out. He and I both had recently gotten out of hectic relationships that didn’t serve either one of us. We both decided to focus on our careers and take a hiatus from dating, but then we met. So, that hiatus didn’t last long needless to say! He sent me an email ne day, asking what I liked to do on the weekends? I replied, ” (with sarcasm) sit at home and stare at the walls.” He asked me, “would I like some company one day while I sat and stared at the walls?” (smooth move right?, I thought so) I replied, “sure, but call me, because I like to keep it professional at work.” We exchanged phone numbers and that first phone call would change my life!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road, due to me also, battling health struggles and multiple dr. appointments and trying to keep some sense of identity in my profession, but with God’s help, I’m managing it all with grace! This Podcast, helps me stay close to my passion and able to still take care of my health.

On our Podcast, we talk about all things regarding relationships, from giving dating tips for singles, to advice for married couples and everything in between! The fact that our backgrounds are so different, we bring two different perspectives to each topic. Our topics are usually, pretty diverse and encompass issues in the Dating Game and/or issues that can challenge marital bliss, in today’s society. There is never a dull moment with our banter! We talk about our experiences and how we’ve even had challenges in the ups and downs of marriage. Our podcast is very transparent and real! I provide coaching sessions individually with dating tips ect. Through that pool of daters, I occasionally, connect a match or two. We can/have hosted many marriage workshops, as well. I currently have a match going right now and it has gotten pretty steamy already! Shout out to, “No longer lonely in the Lone Star State!” You could be the next, “Perfect Match!”
I am most proud of, being able to still assist singles and married individuals, (through this platform) to achieve relationship goals, while still taking care of my health, so I can be the best version of myself that I can be! I also, love being able to connect DFW Singles as well!
We’ve been told, that what sets us apart from other Podcasts is that we are a real life example of a ordinary couple with every day relationship struggles as well, that has a successful relationship and marriage! So all of our topics are typically from our experiences in the everyday dating world.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Some of the material that my husband and I have read in the past is, marriage books, like “Marriage Be Hard,” by Kevin and Melissa Fredricks. “Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man,” by Steve Harvey. “Don’t, be that Girl,” by Travis Stork….great dating books! Our favorite shows are “Married at First Sight (which we have reviewed in the past on the Podcast and “Love is Blind.” Dr. Phil is one of my favorite mentors, in fact, we attended and are in a taping of the Dr. Phil Primetime Show in Oct. of 2024. They have a marriage that we really respect! “Fail Up,” by Tavis Smiley is a helpful book about 20 lessons of building success from failure. There is so many more nuggets out there, but this is to name of few of what has fueled me and us in our relationship.
