Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Walker
Hi Lauren, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started out in the wedding industry in 2016. I was a commission artist painting people’s pets or murals for businesses, so event florals started as a side job. It really just blossomed into a passion from there. Collaborating with clients, learning all the different types of flowers, the ordering and sourcing items, dreaming up mood-boards. Being creative. Still making art, just in different ways. I could not get enough of it. My first steps were small but filled with intention. The journey hasn’t been without its challenges, but every lesson learned has been worth it. Allowing me to fully embrace my vision for creating timeless, artful floral designs. Flower House is a reflection of that passion
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Separating from my former company and rebranding as Flower House was one of the most challenging but rewarding decisions I’ve ever made. Stepping into a new identity and trusting myself to build something that felt true and honest to me. The process was emotional but taking that leap gave me the chance to redefine my brand, focus on my ideal clients, and fully embrace the fine art style I love.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Flower House has made it their mission to create florals uniquely tailored to every event, expanding off of their client’s vision and striving to think out of the box. Our clients are design-oriented and want to work with a florist who’s just as excited as they are about their special day and the special details that will celebrate their love story. Design elements are considerately planned and thoughtfully finished into a cohesive and polished experience, unique to each couple.
How do you think about luck?
Being open to opportunities, putting yourself out there, and cultivating genuine relationships all play a part. Luck maybe have opened doors for me, but stepping through them required courage, preparation, and trust in my ability to deliver. Those connections remind me to stay grateful, humble and open to whatever comes next.
