Hidden Gems: Meet Jonathan Arriaga of Iron Throne Indoor Golf Club

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Arriaga

Hi Jonathan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
We started this business after realizing that Arlington didn’t have any options for indoor golf during the winter. With several golf courses within a close proximity, it was clear there is a strong golf community here, and we saw an opportunity to serve them.

Starting out wasn’t easy. My partner and I are both juggling full-time jobs, fatherhood as proud girl dads, and now entrepreneurship. Turning this idea into reality took persistence, but we broke it down into small, manageable goals each week and kept pushing until we made it happen.

For me, golf is more than just a sport—it’s personal. My father introduced me to the game, and it gave us a new way to bond. Before golf, our time together was mostly sitting around watching games and having a drink—which is great! But now, we have an activity that we can share. It’s become our way to connect, stay active, and make lasting memories.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey to get here has been anything but smooth. Every milestone we reached revealed another mountain to climb. This was uncharted territory for us, and everything felt new and challenging. Along the way, we’ve learned countless lessons and reaffirmed something we’ve always believed: when you treat people with respect and a welcoming attitude, you can always find common ground.

Now that we’re up and running, we’ve become known for more than just golf. If you check out our Google reviews, you’ll see that what stands out most is our exceptional customer service. Serving this community has been a privilege, and we’re beyond grateful for the opportunity to make an impact!

As you know, we’re big fans of Iron Throne Indoor Golf Club. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Iron Throne Indoor Golf Club is more than just a place to hit golf balls. It’s a space to relax, make memories with friends and family, and, if you happen to improve your game along the way, that’s just the cherry on top!

Our mission is rooted in exceptional customer service. I always remind our customers, “Without you, we are nothing!” That belief shapes everything we do. What sets us apart from other is that we are currently a small operation that allows us to be more hands on and interactive with our customers.

What I’m most proud of is how we treat people. You can’t coach being a servant—it comes from the heart—and my partner and I are fully aligned on that.

Golf is a game for everyone, regardless of age, race, or gender. So next time you have the chance, grab a buddy, hit some balls, and create a memory. Whether it’s here at Iron Throne or anywhere else, just remember—have fun and enjoy the journey!

Here at The Iron Throne Indoor Golf Club, we offer hourly golf bay rentals, memberships, swing training, access to cutting-edge technology, and customizable party packages. To make your experience even better, we welcome outside food and beverages—so you can enjoy your favorite game, with your favorite people, while savoring your favorite food and drinks!

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
My advice for finding a mentor is to choose someone whose vision aligns with yours. It doesn’t have to be strictly business-related—I currently have three mentors who guide me in mental health, spiritual growth, and business development. If you see someone who could be a great mentor, don’t hesitate to ask. Most people are eager to help and would love to see you succeed.

When it comes to networking, remember: you can’t impact the world if you don’t first impact the community around you. Start by building relationships with local businesses and city officials. Strong local connections lay the foundation for greater influence and opportunities.
