I’ve been passionate about hair for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a small town in Minnesota, I always knew I wanted to pursue a career in the beauty industry. At 18, I took a leap of faith, packed up everything, and moved to Dallas to follow my dreams. Starting from scratch in a big city wasn’t easy, but I was determined to build something of my own.
Over the years, I haven’t just built a clientele, I’ve built genuine friendships. I love seeing the joy on my clients faces when they leave my chair feeling their absolute best. My salon is more than just a place for hair transformations; it’s a space where people can relax, connect, and enjoy a little escape from their busy lives.
Owning my own business has been an incredible journey of growth and learning, and I’m excited to keep evolving and achieving new goals.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey hasn’t always been smooth; moving to Dallas at 18 with no established clientele was a challenge. I had to put myself out there, and stay patient while growing my business from the ground up.
One of my biggest challenges has been wearing so many hats as a solo business owner. From handling appointments, and finances to marketing and client experience, it’s a lot to manage, but it has also been incredibly rewarding to see my hard work pay off.
Despite the struggles, every challenge has helped me grow and become even more dedicated to my craft and my goals.

I’ve always believed that taking risks is a necessary part of growth, both personally and professionally. One of my biggest risks I’ve taken was moving to Dallas at 18 with no real plan other than my passion for hair and determination to build a career in the beauty industry. Leaving behind the familiarity of my small hometown in Minnesota and stepping into a completely new environment was terrifying, but I knew that it was a necessary step to get where I wanted to be.
Another major risk I took was opening my own salon suite. Transitioning from Working under someone else to running my own business meant stepping into the unknown – taking on financial responsibilities, building a client base from scratch, and learning how to wear multiple hats as both a stylist and a business owner. It was a leap of faith, but trusting my vision and skills has lead me to one of the most rewarding decisions I have ever made.
To me, risk taking is all about trusting yourself and being willing to embrace the unknown. I believe that without risk taking you stay stagnant. Each risk I’ve taken has shaped me into the stylist and entrepreneur I am today.
