Today we’d like to introduce you to Alynna Weimer.
Hi Alynna, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey to becoming a better version of myself has been a process of transformation, fueled by faith, purpose, and resilience. As a wife, mom, and business owner, I’ve faced many twists and turns—chasing dreams while navigating the complexities of life. Through all the ups and downs, I’ve learned that self-growth doesn’t mean sacrificing the people I love, but rather, it empowers me to be a better leader, mentor, and friend. I’ve embraced my purpose as a public speaker, a foster care youth advocate, and a passionate advocate for pageantry. Along the way, I’ve learned to give myself grace, to prioritize my well-being, and to trust that each step, even the missteps, has led me closer to my true calling. I’m not just a work in progress—I’m a woman transforming through every experience, grounded in my faith and ready to make an impact.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The challenges I faced I feel are not unlike other struggles women experience. As a mother, I hid myself a lot and fooled myself into believing my job wasn’t to grow me anymore, but to grow my kids only. I had forgotten about my own dreams and even the things I believed God had called me to do. Mothers usually put their kids first but in doing so, they often don’t even put themselves 2nd or 3rd, it’s usually last. This type of sacrifice can appear noble but it really drains her energy and strength to be the best version of herself for her family.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am deeply committed to youth advocacy, particularly focusing on supporting foster children and those aging out of the foster system. Through my work as a CASA volunteer (Court Appointed Special Advocate), I work to give children a voice in a system that often overlooks their needs. Whether it’s through mentorship, providing resources, or simply showing up for them when they need it most. I work to bridge the gap between their struggles and their potential, empowering them to overcome obstacles. I am most proud of the work my husband and I have started that will build homes for aged out foster youth. Our work aims to end youth homelessness by providing hope and practical resources. These homes are called Hope Homes.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
The Dallas/Fort Worth area is known for its dynamic blend of culture, business, and hospitality. One of the best things about this region is its diversity—whether it’s the food scene, arts, or cultural festivals, there’s always something to explore. You can experience world-class museums, thriving music and theater districts, and a booming culinary scene with everything from Tex-Mex to gourmet dining. The DFW metroplex also boasts a strong sense of community, where people are friendly and supportive. For those who love both city life and outdoor adventure, the area offers the best of both worlds with parks, lakes, and hiking trails, all while being home to top businesses, professional sports teams, and entertainment hubs. It’s a place where you can work hard, play hard, and still enjoy a welcoming atmosphere. The only negative thing about this city is the traffic!
