Hi Stephanie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
What began as a creative outlet during my architecture studies unexpectedly blossomed into something far greater than I could have envisioned. My existing presence in the design world and my passion for making things fueled this exciting journey. My love for graphic design and crafting naturally led me to focus on event signage. I’ve always been captivated by event décor and design, and I recognized the transformative power that personalized signage had on the overall aesthetic of weddings and events.
Now, I specialize in creating bespoke signage and accessories for all kinds of events—weddings, birthdays, corporate gatherings, and more. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to match the event’s theme, and I love collaborating with clients to bring their vision to life. It’s been an exciting journey, and I’m grateful for every client who has trusted me to be part of their special moments. The goal now is to continue growing, refining my designs, and expanding my reach so even more people can experience the magic of personalized event signage.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any small business, the journey hasn’t always been smooth, but every challenge has been a learning opportunity. When I first started, one of the biggest struggles was balancing creativity with the business side of things. I love designing and making signage, but figuring out pricing, marketing, and managing orders efficiently was a whole new skill set I had to develop.
Another challenge was investing in the right equipment. Laser-cutting machines and high-quality materials are expensive, and in the beginning, every purchase felt like a big risk. There were also technical issues—learning how to operate and maintain the machines, troubleshooting design flaws, and making sure the final product met my quality standards.
Despite the struggles, I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything. Every setback has pushed me to improve, and every satisfied customer reminds me why I started in the first place. I’ve learned to adapt, grow, and embrace the ups and downs of entrepreneurship, and I’m excited to see where this path continues to take me!
We’ve been impressed with Castié Studio, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Castie Studio specializes in creating custom laser-cut signage and accessories for events, including weddings, birthdays, corporate gatherings, and special celebrations. We design and craft everything from welcome signs and bar menus to cake toppers, seating charts, and branded event pieces. Each piece is personalized to reflect the unique theme and aesthetic of the event, ensuring a one-of-a-kind experience for my clients.
I take pride in offering a seamless and personalized experience for my clients. From initial consultations to design mockups and final production, I work closely with each customer to make sure their vision comes to life perfectly. Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the incredible support system that has helped me grow my business. First and foremost, my family and close friends have been my biggest cheerleaders. They believed in me when I was just starting out, encouraged me to take the leap into entrepreneurship, and even helped with everything from brainstorming ideas to packaging orders during busy seasons.
My clients have also played a huge role in my success. Many of them have not only trusted me with their event signage but have also referred me to others, shared my work on social media, and come back for more custom pieces. Their excitement and appreciation for my designs fuel my creativity and keep me motivated to keep improving.
