Today we’d like to introduce you to Damarcia McIntyre
Hi Damarcia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
“Hi, my name is Damarcia, but I typically go by Dee. I started following in my mother’s footsteps around the age of 18. I’ve watched her do hair since I was little, so over the years, I naturally picked up the talent. But it wasn’t until high school that I realized I didn’t want to be a physical therapist anymore—that’s when I decided to take hair seriously. After graduating high school in 2020, I started growing a huge following on TikTok and Instagram with my hair content. My goal was to move to Dallas and become even bigger. In January 2022, I accomplished that goal, and the rest was history.”
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road hasn’t been all smooth with my personal life but as for hair it has pretty much been smooth sailing , To me my major challenges were, coming from a small town feeling like I was being overlooked because no one could help me get to the next level of my career , most of my challenges were internal or physical straining on the body , like me just wanting to be the best hairstylist I could be and perfecting my craft. I was a heavy over-thinker when I was younger and I was my biggest critic when it came to my work and work ethic . As for physical straining I use to work from sun up to sun down almost every day standing on my feet for 8 hours plus but it was what I loved to do .

I specialize in creating top-tier hair content and helping people look and feel their best. From styling to educating my audience on the best hair tips and trends, I’ve built a strong presence on social media, where I connect with thousands of people daily. I also own my own hair company called Hollywood Extensions, providing high-quality hair extensions for those who want to elevate their look. My goal is to keep growing, inspiring, and bringing the best hair transformations to life!
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
“I don’t have any specific books or podcasts to recommend, but I do offer webinars where I share my knowledge and experience in the hair industry. My webinars cover everything from styling techniques to social media growth and branding in the beauty space. I love helping others learn and elevate their skills!”
