Today we’d like to introduce you to Stéphane Alexandre
Hi Stéphane, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
A few years ago, I found that I was in need of mental and moral support from like-minded men. I realized that they were also seeking a sounding board or a brother to lean on – even subconsciously. We would have conversations on the golf course which led to more social gatherings on my back patio with couples, or just us smoking cigars in fellowship.
Fast forward to 2024 with the yearning to develop a safe space for us to share, learn, and teach, I started the Manhood Matters Podcast. Albeit modest in size, I have a loyal and committed fan base. The feedback I get is incredibly rewarding and encourages me to keep at it.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Overall, it has been relatively smooth. Considering I have no prior knowledge or experience in radio, broadcasting, or studio engineering, I made sure that I took my time to learn from others who are already doing it. What can at times be challenging is scheduling my guests and revolving cohosts. I only record in person so essentially, calendars will often have conflicts. Lastly, editing is painstakingly time consuming for me.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I have been a sales professional and servant leader for the past 20 years. Although I represent well known products and companies, I retain my autonomy through my own independent and authorized dealership. What I am most proud of is the impact that I have had on others who have worked for me. Watching them develop into very successful individuals, who in turn serve others, has been truly inspiring.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I grew up a very sheltered child. This had made me timid and reserved. I had to work very hard at overcoming these obstacles. I was always into sports and read a lot. My imagination (which I suppose was fueled by books) has always been wilder than my friends care to hear. I love anything sci-fi or related to the cosmos and universe. But here on terra firma, I am focused on cultural and social issues, as well as everyday challenges for men like myself, and the families we are privileged to steward.
