Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Dais
Hi Michael, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Michael Dais, also known as Dripppp, started his musical journey at the young age of five. His voice was so captivating that he was given a solo in a choir performance as a child. From an early age, he sang in choirs and played instruments, showing a natural talent for music. His mother even recalls that, as an infant, he would sing himself to sleep.
By the age of eight, Michael began recording music on his phone. As a preteen, he continued honing his skills by participating in local singing and performance-based events in elementary school. His passion and dedication to music became evident to his family and peers.
In his junior year of high school, Michael went viral—not just as a singer, but as a dancer. Alongside his best friend Tre, he started a dance group that quickly gained popularity, racking up hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube and social media.
One of his close friends, Michael Thomas, had a profound impact on him before tragically passing away in a motorcycle accident at just 16 years old. This devastating loss left a lasting impression on Michael, serving as a harsh reminder of how quickly life can change. Struggling to cope with the pain, he turned to music for healing. Before his passing, Michael Thomas had told him that he would be the next Trey Songz, Jacquees, or Rod Wave. Inspired by those words, Michael released the hit song Grinding All My Life in his friend’s honor.
His friend’s passing gave him a new sense of motivation—not to take life for granted and to pursue his purpose to the fullest. Shortly after, he released Long Live Mike as a tribute. Following this, Michael achieved his biggest career breakthrough with the release of Nobody to Love, a song that quickly gained national attention and trended worldwide.
Since then, many of his songs have gone viral, and his music can now be found on major platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, and YouTube.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There have been many struggles on this journey—sleepless nights, self-doubt, and even discouragement from a high school teacher who told Michael he would never amount to anything. Additionally, he initially lacked family support for his music and had to prove his dedication.
Many of his songs are deeply personal, inspired by real-life struggles, heartbreaks, and the emotional ups and downs of relationships. His music reflects themes of love, longing for support, and healing through adversity.
One of his biggest challenges in recent years was finding a consistent and reliable executive manager. For over four and a half years, Michael searched for a manager who could help take his career to the next level. He faced difficulties getting paid fairly for gigs and securing the compensation he was owed without delays or errors. However, in the past six months, things have started shifting in the right direction, and he’s finally found the management he needs to grow.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Michael (Dripppp) specializes in music that feeds the soul. His sound is designed to awaken emotions, deliver great beats, and inspire movement. When people hear his music, he wants them to feel motivated—to dance, vibe, and connect with the rhythm.
He is most proud of the fact that his music is making an impact worldwide, and his fan base continues to grow across different countries.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
First and foremost, Michael attributes his success to his faith in God. His spiritual foundation has kept him humble, even as his influence continues to grow with increasing engagement on social media and streaming platforms.
He also remains committed to giving back to his community. Whether it’s feeding the homeless or his recent initiative in December 2025, where he donated Christmas toys to three single mothers, Michael is passionate about helping others.
His dedication, consistency, and work ethic are what keep him rising to the top. He listens to feedback from his mentors, management team, and supporters to continuously improve. In his spare time, he records music to stay creative and engaged with his audience.
Collaborating with industry talents such as Luke Nasty and the late Rich Homie Quan helped elevate his career. His music continues to trend globally, with hit singles like Look At My Shawty, Chosen, and Something Special reaching millions of views.
Recently, Michael made a significant move to Dallas—a step that marks a new chapter in his career.
