Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Estrella
Hi Nicole, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story started when both of my parents immigrated from the Philippines to the US. They had my siblings and me in Illinois, and we lived with my other aunts and uncles who immigrated as well. Growing up with siblings and cousins my age really fulfilled my creative side. We would play dress-up and play online games all the time. This was important to me because, as I grew up, I continued to seek creative fulfillment and build my online presence. As I grew entered my teenage and young adult years, I found joy in posting my creative ideas on social media. This consisted of outfit and makeup ideas, recipes, hair care, etc. My dream is to pursue social media even deeper and possibly become a full-time creator!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My journey has definitely not been smooth. While growing up, my family struggled financially. College was not a topic of discussion. But I knew at an early age from my experiences that I was the only person who could carve my own path. I was determined to pursue higher education, so I enrolled in community college. From there, I enrolled in the University of Illinois at Chicago and received my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. All the experiences I have learned from helped me grow into a better person to this day!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am passionate about creating content on social media. Currently I am active on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram with a mission to inspire and help romanticize the little moments in everyday life! I love to share tips and ideas on beauty, hair care, skin care, outfit inspiration, and recipes. Some of my services I offer include paid advertisements, product testimonials, and creating user generated content. Even with a small following, I am most proud of my sweet and engaged community! Social media has evolved significantly over the past few years, and I’m grateful that the focus has shifted toward small creators like me, especially as engagement becomes a priority. What matters most to you?
Something that matters the most to me is making sure people feel loved. In my opinion, love is one of the most powerful forces on Earth. It can truly make or break a person. You can often tell, or at least I can, by simply walking down the street by who feels loved, and who is in need of it. Love uplifts people because it gives them the support and encouragement of those who care about them. This is your sign to tell someone you love them today!
