Today we’d like to introduce you to Natasha Norris
Hi Natasha, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m a proud U.S. Navy veteran who served for 26 years before stepping into the world of entrepreneurship. People often describe me as loyal, giving, and honest—values that have shaped both my military career and my journey as a business owner. I am the founder of Skincare by CMG, a plant-based skincare line dedicated to promoting self-care, healing, and empowerment.
My passion for skincare is deeply personal. In 2019, I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, a result of the childhood trauma I had compartmentalized for years. That trauma began to manifest as unexplainable pain throughout my body, forcing me to confront the emotional wounds I had long ignored. Through my own healing journey, I realized how deeply our emotional and physical health are connected. That’s why I created Skincare by CMG—to inspire others to embrace holistic healing from the inside out. My mission goes beyond offering skincare products; it’s about encouraging self-love, confidence, and overall well-being.
Outside of my business, I find joy in cooking and dancing—both of which serve as creative outlets and ways to express myself. Whether I’m experimenting in the kitchen or moving to the rhythm of my favorite song, I bring the same authenticity and passion that define my life and work.
My journey is one of resilience and transformation, and my hope is to uplift and inspire others as they navigate their own paths to healing and self-care.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I was mentally, physically, and sexually abused from ages 4-15, and I was bullied throughout my school-aged years. I had/have very oily skin and, back then, cystic acne and hyperpigmentation. I sustained a lot of bullying and found myself fighting quite a bit as a child. The easiest thing I’ve done in my life was join the military; I LOVED boot camp as it was an escape from my life. Serving in the Navy was tough as well. I chose a male-dominated rating and was usually either the only female or one of few females at my command. The pressure to out-perform was certainly there, and I made sure I did just that.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Skincare by CMG?

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
This is a tough question! I’ll try to come back to this, I can’t think of one.
The trauma sustained during my childhood was so impactful I can’t think of a single good childhood memory. It’s riddled with beatings, sexual abuse/assault, and mental and physical abuse.
