Today we’d like to introduce you to Martina Birnbaum.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Martina. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a very happy woman born and raised in Germany and moved to Texas 3 years ago due to the job of my husband. In Germany, I’ve owned my own business for over 20 years and my main photographic focus there was product photography. My passion for photography has taken me near and far in my quest for capturing beautiful photos from my own unique point-of-view. So, I decided to start over again with a new business here in the DFW Metroplex with what I love the most, after I soon felt in love with the area and the people here, I now call my new home.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Regarding my long experience in photography the technical part of the journey was smooth and easy. Not so easy was of course building up a new business from zero in a new country (even a new continent) and in a language that’s not your mother tongue. I’ve learned in my former business in Germany, that it’s very important to get referrals to be able to grow, the same applies of course to my new business here but the start was not easy because of no local customer base that knew me and my talent.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with MB Photography – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
MB Photography is specialized in family, newborn, maternity and car photography. Due to my long experience working with people, I can make them feel very quickly comfortable and they act natural and relaxed in front of the lenses and the pictures are reflecting that feeling. My passion for cars is another core area of my profession. Taking pictures of them fulfills me with a lot of joy because it combines two of my passions, photography and cars. I take a lot of pride in my work with the perfect setup for a shoot and making my customers happy with fully edited photos that they really love.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I know many perfect locations for photoshoots, either people or cars. Currently, I’m hunting for an indoor location for car shoots.
Lately, I discovered a new area of photography. Drones open up complete new perspectives for me and I’ll soon integrate them in my daily work.
