Conversations with Red Harvest

Today we’d like to introduce you to Red Harvest

Hi Red, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
How did Redharvest start, and where are you now? Redharvest started out as a couple of kids wanting to make music, which is pretty common. But we actually managed to grow into something more, which is cool to see. The fact that we are now able to perform live shows and see people enjoy our music, even if they don’t know us, is great.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We don’t have a large budget, but we’re making do. It has been slow going, but we’re steadily adding new songs to our library. The good news is that our current recording equipment is pretty good, and the music we’ve released with it sounds strong. The next step would be to update the recording equipment for an even better sound quality, but that’s an expense we’ll have to save for.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Some of us play in multiple bands, and some work part time. Our songs combine multiple genres, mostly being death/thrash. I think we have a cool sound. Songs like Hellwalker and Blood and Blasphemy have great breakdowns and the choruses are fun to play and really catchy. I think it does a great job. I’d say this is what sets us apart as a band.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Honestly, talk to every band you play with. Ask where they get their shirts, patches, banners, etc. Be friendly and nice to be around, ask to play in shows with bands you’ve met. Don’t be afraid, it’s easy to get opportunities as a band.
