Conversations with Brittany McDonald

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany McDonald.

Brittany McDonald

Hi Brittany, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started in 2015 selling detox tea out of my own interest in looking for alternative health. My mother always exposed me to alternative options since I had many allergies as a kid, and it’s something we bonded over. This pushed me to research and discover more and more healing methods. I came across Dr. Sebi and his mission in 2008, and I was locked in on my own mission to spread healing to my people while inadvertently exposing the food industry. That motivation helped me build a brand and business centered around the importance of detoxing and overall wellness with the use of our God-given nature. While educating, I kept a constant flow of herbal tea products that help female wellness, weight loss, immunity, and more. In 2019, I became an esthetician to further my passion for holistic wellness inside and out. I created skin care products with the same mission in mind: cleansing toxins and consuming holistic nutrients for beautiful skin. Sharing my passion and connecting with fellow entrepreneurs over the years have helped me build a strong network and support system.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nope! HA! Getting people to change their mindset was more challenging than I ever imagined. However, this experience strengthened my character and leadership skills in ways I could not have learned anywhere else. Social media was a brand new world for us back then, and we did not have a rulebook or a guide. I am so grateful for the village I have gained along the way because I’ve met some amazing business besties, virtual and in-person, who have kept me from throwing in the towel. I also learned how to run a business on the fly, which, of course, is challenging in understanding trademarks, contracts, budgeting, and running things safely and securely. But even with prior knowledge, business can be unpredictable, so it’s not easy! Standing on my purpose, passion, and goals keeps me going!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I define myself as an entrepreneur and content creator. My main day-to-day consists of creating content about holistic healing and sharing resources that better our lives, and shining light on things that don’t. My daily routine also consists of maintaining my website and product inventory and creating content to promote products. When people hear Bella Bee Tea, they think of detox tea or the V-Steam herbs. Those categories are the ones I have gone viral for the most. My specialty for the last 5 years has been feminine care and skin care. I want to maintain that but also expand this to include family-friendly holistic care. That includes herbal tea, yoni care, skin care, and overall wellness.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Everything we consume affects our mental, spiritual, and physical health. Detox your gut and detox your house and environment (toxic fragrance, cookware, cleaning products, clothing fabric, etc.) because the number one cause of infertility and fibroids is hormone disrupters, which come in the form of toxic ingredients in everyday goods. Detox any negative people, places, or things that cause you to be distracted from God and your purpose, and you will be in good shape!
