Gary , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started by noticing things in my generation that can be fixed so our future can be better. Living in a society where people are struggling with being themselves I knew starting WeirdWear would encourage individuals to be themselves. (For Example) you might have a great idea and you stop pursuing that idea because you feel like your Family and Friends wouldn’t approve so you stop and forget about it. Seeing situations like this happening everyday I decided to start a Clothing Company that will release my message. I’m confident that my company will encourage many to “never apologize for being them”.By believing In the message Weird Wear has started to grow.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth ride but believing in my abilities I am prepared for all the obstacles I’m going to face knowing that problems will always occur when trying to pursue a goal. Knowing that gives me an extra spark to keep pushing. The main struggle I faced was losing my Dad while my mom being incarcerated. When that situation happened I felt like giving up I stopped making clothes for 2 years. Knowing that my father wouldn’t want me to give up I had to find strength in myself to keep pushing while knowing everything would be different forever.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I create Clothing collections for the world specializing in different prints and garments like Embroidery,Screen printing and dye sublimation. I’m Known for always putting out good Quaility merch with a great marketing strategy. I’m proud of my consistency never giving up and keep pushing trying daily to break the barriers. Being myself and just acting on my decisions sets me apart from few.
