Life & Work with Yolanda Jackson of Fort worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yolanda Jackson

Hi Yolanda, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Not sure which part of my story your interested in I assume it’s for fashion but I did originally start as an entrepreneur in music as a Dj , 15 years old in 2012 when I received equipment for my birthday , i did that for a few years which turned into doing music later on ! 2017 was the start for my fashion career with a clothing boutique called “Lux Looks” which I postpone and currently still looking to revamp one day ! I took a leap of faith and started the boutique because I’ve always been into fashion ! Everybody always wanted to know where I shopped so I thought why not supply with what they were looking for ! It actually was a pretty good success with the business but I needed to get an actual plan together Around 2019 is when
“ Londaa TheDoll” was born, I started to do music and wanted a different name to go by ! (my name actually comes from my mom who’s name is doll ) !! Doll is apart of my brand period point blank !

currently I am fashion stylist and a self taught seamstress / fashion designer ! I build my clients looks based off of their vibe or the type of event by asking a question to get to know them ! My goal is not to change anyone’s look but to enhance it ! I like to help people think out of the box while also helping them find their style ! I definitely bring people out of their comfort zone ! I love to see their outfits come to life ! I started content creating on fashion in 2022 although I have been creating for years in the past since high school I take it serious these last few years ! my previous instagram was deleted at 13k ! I had to start over fresh which was fine with me because currently I have been able to rebrand into a better business which I feel is why you guys reached out in the first place! More things coming soon so stay tuned ! Being a seamstress has been interesting I started in 2023 , I did teach my self everything and it’s been a challenge but one that I like ! I went to a class for a few days and although I did not learn much during this class I ended up just taking a chance and making my own outfits ! I incorporate photography as well for my brand !

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
To me if it’s something worth having it’ll take hard work to get what you want keep it and making something of it ! I love what I do so I honestly enjoy going after my dreams ! The only thing I say would be a struggle along the way was financially , trying to fund myself being young and still trying to figure out where I want to be

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I style clients helping them find their way into fashion and a look that fits them , I’ve learned to be patient and to always believe in myself ! I’m known for both music and fashion ! I think now days I’m known for fashion since I’m always throwing fits together ! I specialize in bringing fashion visions to life and making me or a client feel their best ! I’m most proud of me for never giving up on my self ! I think what sets me apart from other is being authentically myself no matter the setting , people or day ! I have never tried to fit in and I’m always doing / trying the fashion trends that most are scared to do !

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success to me is being happy chasing your dreams and goals and accomplishing them ! While Doing something you love to do I also think success could be making the people you love proud ( if that’s a goal for you ) ! Also being able to be financially stable and able to help others around you freely if you want too
