Today we’d like to introduce you to Charlie Bui.
Hi Charlie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.

I came here with nothing in experience in 2018
+ Have done Nail technician, Construction worker, Restaurant server, Baguette cashier, bartender and any kind of job I could make clean and good money.
+ 2018 I went to Highschool for 3 months and then I moved to Dallas college, but I decided to drop out because I felt I didn’t have time for college, and I wanted to be outside made money, do business and learn as much as I could.
+ 2019 I started to learn about Real Estate, then I failed the 1st test, and I decided to try out to be salesman at a furniture store to learn more about selling process to support for my Real estate career later. Because of Covid 19 and the way the store selling things didn’t close to my honesty to sell, to help and to serve, so they laid me off first time in my life during Covid quarantine, that moment I felt like nothing to lose and started all in the Real Estate.
+ 2020 during the Covid Time, I worked for multiple jobs such as Nail Technician, Construction worker, Restaurant server to earn a living expense, took care my family and learned Real Estate at the same time.
For the Real Estate Exam, it took me 10 times to pass the exams and get my license, lucky me at that time I always told myself tried your best Charlie, you will be fore sure pass the exam, and yeah at the 10th time :))))
+ 2021 was my 1st year in Real Estate I learned as much as I could, went net working to meet more people, but the turnkey for me was when I did all video, live stream to sell Real Estate, I had over 80% of my clients were online clients, out of state clients they saw me on Facebook and trusted me to be their agents. Lucky me my 1st year I closed over 42 transactions, made the income 10x compared with what I had ever made before and again Lucky me to meet my big brother, partner Alex Dong and my sifu, my mentor to guide me through those young times.
+ 2022 Alex Dong and I partnered up to create the TEXAS ACE TEAM and we closed more than 100 homes per year over the last 3 years and of course 2025 is the 4th year. Last year 2024 we closed approximately 50 million dollars in volume and now 2025 we have a team of 9 people with a strong back office to climb higher and higher in Real Estate Business.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course it was not a smooth road at all.
+ I did drop out of college to achieve my business goal to get rich and take care of my family
+ 1st time in my life I got laid off in quarantine time
+ I failed 10 times on the exam to get my license
+ I worked relentlessly throughout the 2021, always force myself to try a new limit

Alex and I established our Texas Ace Team in early of 2022, we thought about a lot of names back then, but finally decided to go with ” Texas Ace Team” to match with our mindset to work the best service, the best interest and reputation for our clients.
We are Realtors and specializing in Real Estate Residential Buy/ Sell/ leasing.
We are known for the transparency for our work, hardworking team and try best to do the good job.
Things set me apart from those will be hardworking, transparent, honest, social media and idea guys.
What are you most proud brand wise? We are willing to do things differently and always be curious, hungry to learn to serve better.
What do you want our readers to know about your brand, offerings, services, etc? Texas Ace Team powered by eXp realty yes, we are a young group but with our culture, reputation of transparency, hardworking, protect the best interest to help our clients always satisfy their real estate needs.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I came from a poor family and since I was a kid I always felt some things disadvantages compare to my friends, my parents left me at 4 years old and to go to the city to work. I lived with my grandparents and of course I learned how to work on a hard, heavy job for 6 years old kid. So, when I was growing up, I always wanted to learn Business to get rich and take care of my parents who sacrificed a lot for me and my brother.
My personal hobbies: Reading business, finance, successful entrepreneur books, workout exercises every day, play soccer every week, love History, war and geography, love countryside life, love talking to elderly, love to learn more to grow more in my career.
