Check Out Teira Hill’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Teira Hill.

Hi Teira , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m a mother of two from Terrell, Texas, with a background in athletics. I earned college scholarships in track and field, but life took an unexpected turn when I had to leave school early due to family issues. Shortly after, I lost my grandfather the most important man in my life. That loss set off a series of unfortunate events that pushed me further into hardship.

By the time I had my second child, I found myself in an abusive relationship and battling postpartum depression. I felt like I had no way out, trapped in a darkness that became my reality. I quit on life, just wanting to disappear into the silence. But one day, a woman said something that changed everything: “The dark is only comforting because you welcome it.” That moment was a turning point. I made a decision to seek the light every single day.

From there, I poured myself into entrepreneurship and found success with GoddessGud Yoni Care, a brand that helped women build confidence and connect with their bodies. I also started F.A.S.T., a youth sports training camp that provides free coaching to kids in my community who have untapped potential. Beyond business, I stepped into the creative world—I freelance model across DFW and recently landed the lead role in the upcoming movie CLEO.

Everything I’ve been through has led me here to doors of opportunity I never imagined. Today, I stand as an aspiring model, actor, and entrepreneur, determined to show others that no matter where you come from or what you’ve faced, you can break free from the darkness. All you have to do is seek the light….every single day.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all. My journey has been anything but smooth, but every obstacle shaped me into the woman I am today.

One of my biggest struggles was having to leave college early due to family issues. I had worked so hard as an athlete to earn those scholarships, and walking away felt like I was losing a piece of myself. Then, losing my grandfather was a devastating blow—he was my rock, and after he passed, it felt like life kept hitting me with one hardship after another.

By the time I had my second child, I was in an abusive relationship and suffering from postpartum depression. I completely lost myself. I felt trapped in a cycle of pain, self-doubt, and darkness. There were days when I didn’t want to keep going, when giving up felt easier than fighting to find my way out.

But I did fight. And that’s what changed everything.

The turning point came when someone told me, “The dark is only comforting because you welcome it.” That one sentence shifted my mindset, and I decided to stop letting my circumstances define me. It wasn’t an overnight transformation healing took time, effort, and a lot of self-work. I had to rebuild my confidence, learn to trust myself again, and take risks in pursuit of a better life.

Starting my businesses, launching F.A.S.T., stepping into modeling and acting none of it was easy. I had to navigate self-doubt, financial struggles, and moments where I questioned if I was capable. But every setback became a lesson, and every challenge pushed me to keep going.

Now, I embrace my journey, because even the struggles played a part in getting me here. And if my story can inspire someone else to push through their own darkness, then it was all worth it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a model, actress, and entrepreneur, but above all, I’m a creative force who brings confidence and energy into everything I do.

As a model, I’ve had the opportunity to work with major makeup and skincare brands like Morphe, Miss A, Good Molecules, and Medicube, along with many amazing local businesses. I love the artistry of modeling..it’s more than just looking good in front of a camera; it’s about bringing a brand’s vision to life while staying true to my own identity.

On the acting side, I’m currently starring as the lead in CLEO, a project that is still in production but already has me beyond excited. I can’t share too much just yet, but let’s just say this role is powerful, dynamic, and full of depth just like me.

What sets me apart? I’m unapologetically me. I walk with my head held high, confident in who I am, while staying humble and open to growth. I bring energy, personality, and a little spice to every space I step into. Whether I’m on set, in front of a camera, or just having a conversation, I make sure people feel my presence. I’m funny, bold, and real because life’s too short to be anything else.

More than anything, I’m proud of how far I’ve come. Every opportunity I have today is a reflection of the work I put in to overcome my past and build the future I deserve. And I’m just getting started.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
A book that changed my thought process The Magic of Thinking Big by David J Schwartz pushes you to dream bigger, believe in yourself and take bold action. I used to say no to opportunities just out of fear.. thinking I will fail before I even got started but this book helped me change those self doubt thoughts into positive thinking
