Rising Stars: Meet Sarah Meyers of Dallas Tx

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Meyers.

Hi Sarah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Sarah Meyers is the passionate founder of PreppnQueen LLC, a dynamic catering business that began during her college years at the University of Houston. What started as cooking for the basketball team, thanks to her older sister Ryan’s connections, quickly grew into a thriving catering venture. Sarah’s culinary journey took another turn when she embarked on a personal weight loss journey, eventually blending her passion for food with health-conscious meal prepping. Sharing her creations on social media, she quickly garnered interest, turning her passion into a full-fledged business.

At PreppnQueen LLC, Sarah specializes in a wide range of cuisines, priding herself on never being boxed in by a single style. Whether it’s event-specific catering, custom menus, or elegant fine dining for special occasions, Sarah is committed to crafting meals that fit her clients’ unique needs and dreams. Her mission is simple: “Tasteful Cuisines Crafted for YOUR Special Occasion.” With a focus on customer satisfaction and always striving to please, Sarah’s philosophy is that her clients’ dreams are her vision.

From intimate gatherings to grand events, Sarah Meyers and PreppnQueen LLC ensure that every dish is a memorable experience.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Catering has definitely been a rewarding journey, but it hasn’t always been smooth. One of the biggest challenges I faced early on was balancing the excitement of growing my business with the demands of running a small operation. It’s easy to get caught up in the passion and hustle, but there’s a lot of behind-the-scenes work—managing logistics, maintaining consistent quality, and, of course, figuring out pricing and contracts.

Another obstacle was learning how to scale my business while keeping the personal touch that made it special from the start. As my clientele grew, so did the need for a more structured approach to the business. I had to learn how to delegate, build a team, and trust others with the vision while maintaining the level of service and creativity I value.

But with each challenge, I’ve learned more about what works and what doesn’t. It’s made me more adaptable and resourceful, and I think it’s part of the reason PreppnQueen LLC continues to thrive. Every obstacle has just been another opportunity to grow stronger and more confident in my craft.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At PreppnQueen LLC, we specialize in crafting customized, event-specific menus that fit the unique vision of each client. Whether it’s an elegant wedding, a corporate gathering, or a casual celebration, my goal is to create flavorful dishes that bring people together and make every event memorable. While I’ve honed my skills in fine dining, I’m never one to be boxed into a single style. I pride myself on the ability to adapt and explore different types of cuisine, ensuring that no two events are ever the same. From bold flavors to elegant presentations, I enjoy the challenge of tailoring each menu to perfectly suit the occasion and my clients’ needs.

What I’m most proud of is the genuine connection I have with my clients. I see myself as more than just a caterer—I’m part of their celebration, bringing their dreams to life through food. The trust my clients place in me to create something special is what motivates me every day. I’m also proud of the fact that I started from a place of passion and hustle and have been able to grow into a respected business.

What sets me apart from others is my versatility and my commitment to always going above and beyond. Whether it’s a creative custom dish or a traditional favorite, I work closely with my clients to ensure their expectations are not just met but exceeded. Plus, my focus on quality, attention to detail, and dedication to customer satisfaction helps me build lasting relationships and a loyal client base.

At the end of the day, my mission is simple: I want every person who tastes my food to feel like they’re part of something special, and that’s what keeps me inspired.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
The COVID-19 crisis taught me several valuable lessons, both personally and professionally. One of the biggest lessons was the importance of adaptability. As events were canceled and gatherings became limited, I had to quickly pivot and find ways to keep the business afloat. I started focusing more on individual meal prep services and contactless delivery, which allowed me to continue serving my clients in a safe way while also meeting the growing demand for healthier, home-cooked meals.

Another important lesson was the significance of community. During such a challenging time, I saw firsthand how much people were willing to support small businesses. It reinforced the idea that relationships and trust are everything in this line of work. I became more intentional about reaching out to my clients, keeping them updated, and offering them creative solutions for their events, even if it meant adjusting to smaller, more intimate gatherings.

Overall, the pandemic was a tough chapter, but it taught me to be more resilient, creative, and proactive. It also gave me a deeper appreciation for the connections I’ve made with my clients and the ability to adjust quickly to any challenges that come my way.
