Hi Paris, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my social media career by speaking my integral thoughts on twitter.
This was during the time where it was genuinely hard to go viral and get a huge following. I grew faster after an interaction with Issa Rae however my rise was organic because I was always me. I eventually stepped in front of the camera giving controversial takes on dating, the Black community, and more interactions with celebrities as of late, Cardi B. However, my platform is meant to cause conversations
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has NOT been smooth at all! People have always tried to put a muzzle on me starting with my parents. I have always been popular but when it converted over into the internet it’s like a microscope was on everything I said and many times people would meet me by the internet having negative perceptions about me as a person. From being doxxed, threatened, losing friendships, lack of support from those who
I valued, I finally found my smooth road now. The journey has been worth it.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I actually am a licensed claims adjuster and I have a passion for helping people that helps me excel in my role. I’ve also grown very fast in my career, recently applying for supervisor based on a recommendation from my department management. I am an over achiever! My personality is a winner. I was able to sustain my livelihood while losing my superhero (my dad) and for that reason where I am in my career will also be pivotal to me.
