Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendall Brookshire.
Hi Kendall, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Truly I have always Grown up around cameras and photography. As a little girl my mom was always taking photos of us, and having out photos done every year for the holidays was such a big deal. I started making my friends dress up for me and take photos of them in my back yard. It’s just been apart of y DNA I guess. After my husband gifted me my first DSLR camera, the rest was history and I quickly began falling in love with capturing wedding days.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Oh gosh, I think if someone tells you they didn’t struggle, their lying to you. Being a creative isn’t always the most supported industry in the world and its also one of the most cut throat industries even though it doesn’t have to be. Theres of course been moments over the last 8 years I have questioned if i’m good enough, or could truly make a living off doing what I love, but perseverance, and here we are. Very grateful for that.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a full time wedding & portrait photographer known for creating storytelling images that make you feel. I am most proud of the connection I share with all of my clients and I believe as a follow up to that the experience I am able to create for my clients, with that connection, is what sets me apart ultimatley.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
maybe cliche but to never give up, and that we are capable of chasing dreams and meeting the craziest of goals. You just have to keep going.
