Rising Stars: Meet Jack Spiritas (FoodGuyJack) of Dallas, TX

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jack Spiritas (FoodGuyJack).

Hi Jack, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My father is in Marketing & PR for restaurants. Growing up, I naturally always tried the best, hottest, and classic restaurants. I found that I really enjoyed filming foods that were “crazy” and “over the top”. I remember one of my first videos as being me smashing a 7 layer cake in the middle of a local Dallas restaurant. I have always had an interest in food, it’s in my blood, and the journey I’ve had along the past years has been such a honor.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I think my biggest struggle along the way was my age. Starting my food page around the age of 9/10years old, leading to where I am now still at such a young age (16), and to all the connections I have made, this has without a doubt been my biggest obstacle. Though this factor has also set me apart in a unique way.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am still in high school, but my professional life as of now and the last 6 years has been in food! I do expect myself to follow in the footsteps of my father in Marketing & PR, and I do believe food will ALWAYS have a part of my professional life.

What matters most to you?
Providing fantastic content to my audience, but as well shedding light on businesses that need more awareness.
